Leidenheimer Baking Co Reviews
Daryl P. Doesn't have a clue. Look, the Vietnamese bread is very good, but the crust is too thin, and the inside too soft. What he doesn't understand is that the thick crust and dense inside is what makes a NOLA po-boy. Otherwise it isn't right. When you squeeze a po-boy the crust should break and crack like an uptown sidewalk.
Karen S. is correct -- it is all about the bread! The bread, oh the bread. The Leidenheimer Baking Company's french bread, with it's crispy outside and light airiness inside, is the perfect "stage" for what ever you place upon it. I only wish we had a comparable french bread in Oregon. Leidenhrimer, come to Portland and save our wretched sandwiches!

If your poboy was made with any other French bread, you are being cheated. If your poboy was made with any bread that doesn't resemble French bread, you are eating a sandwich. There is no better bread in all of New Orleans. Ask for it by name and promptly leave if you absolutely need something made with bread.
