First, the staff was great! They were pleasant and truly worked as a team, even the hostess was running food. Second, we were there with a prix fixe menu. The main course came before the second course! And it was garbage! Even their salad was soggy, like it was tossed in dressing hours before. But their soup (some corn bisque) was full of delicious seafood. At the end of the day, I spent $220 for some great cups of soup and awesome service.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Made a reservation arrived 10 minutes early. They weren't busy and not a single person greeted us or even asked if we wanted to dine in! We stood there for an additional 15 minutes our reservation time passed and we were still standing. Right before I decided for us to leave a couple stormed out for not being serviced after being seated. Just an overall bad experience.

So my friends and I saw Public Service online and we thought it seemed like a great place to dine before going to the Smoothie King center for an event. We had never heard about it and the menu looked delicious so we headed there. Upon arrival no one greeted us and we had to ask if we could sit ourselves or if someone was going to bring us to a table. No big deal, I get it. We were the only other table in that place other than a large party of middle aged people drinking at the bar. The service was laughable for our table and the bartender, Corey, was sarcastic when asked for a drink recommendation so we ended up leaving and not spending our money there. I want to mention that the bartender was VERY attentive to the larger party at the bar but took longer than preferred to approach our table. When we asked him for a minute to look over the menu he again took his sweet time coming back. We left before he came back to the table. Being a group of three who are all in our twenties I guess Mr. Corey couldn't be bothered with us. All of us work in the service industry though and would've taken care of this man when it came to tipping but alas, he treated us like we were children. All around I would say, don't dine here unless you're above the age of 45 and look like you have money to spend, because Corey will treat you differently if not! We went five minutes down the street to Pizza Luna instead and had a great experience with someone who seemed pleased to have us in their restaurant. Way too many good restaurants with better food, drinks, and service in the city to put up with that. Do better!

Honestly one of the worst experiences at a restaurant in New Orleans. We walked in and were not greeted, and when we got our server, Corey, he was extremely rude. He honestly seemed like he didn't care about us at all. We were the only table besides a group at the bar and after we got our waters, we never saw our server again. We ended up leaving at this point because we just felt unwelcomed. Definitely won't be coming back.

A very overpriced restaurant inside the NOPSI hotel. I suppose you could go for the convenience of it. The food was generally good but it appears I got overcharged $9 beverage fee for just water. I didn't find out til later. The service was just ok. If anything, just got there for the bread and jam. On the plus side, there's usually live music and the ambience is pretty peaceful and serene.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The ambience was 1920's. A beautifully restored building. The service and food were wonderful. We had their meatloaf Wellington. It's was really amazing. I'm trying to duplicate it at home. The rest of the food and wine were amazing. After dinner we took the wine and finished it on the patio. A great end to the day.Since this is in a hotel we plan to stay here, at Nola, the next time we visit.

This restaurant was in our hotel so an easy choice. There was lots of seating and a live band. We were able to get seated right away on a weekday evening. The food was good - we got the chicken and meatloaf Wellingtonand both were great. We didn't try the drinks but they looked good. They were accommodating for substitutions and allergies. Our server was very busy (I think she might have has the whole restaurant to serve) so there wasn't much interaction but I don't fault her for that as she was hustling!

I ate here with my daughter on Christmas Day. We were only offered a prixe fix option, which included a bite sized chef selection, appetizer (no choice), soup or salad (one choice each) main course (three choices) and dessert (two choices). The appetizers were ok, but you were out of luck if you don't like cheese because both the bite sized and regular appetizer were cheese. My daughter and I both had the wedge salad, which was ok but very small. We also both had the pork with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The pork was fatty and basically inedible. We got one of each of the two desserts. The pecan pie was the best part of the meal. The bread pudding was a very odd consistency. We were still hungry when we finished. At $75 pp it was way overpriced. I would not have minded spending $200 on a meal if it was good, but this was awful. I will not be eating here again during my trip.

We had a very early dinner so there were only two occupied tables besides ours. The kitchen did not pace our courses so we were served the next course while still finishing the previous one. The amuse bouche was poorly executed- served in a small tapered glass with crushed nuts in the bottom making it impossible to touch the goat cheese. The next course consisted of melted brie served in a small dish. By the time it reached the table, it had re-solidified into a stretchy disc that couldn't be spread on the very thin, fragile toast that accompanied it. The wedge salad was better, though the dressing was slightly sweet. The chicken entree was very salty. My dinner companion had fish and while it was fine, said their potatoes were bland. Dessert was a very disappointing room temperature bread pudding that would have been outstanding had it been warmed. I ordered a hot buttered rum and it was very watery. Service was outstanding. Our server was attentive, engaging, and very pleasant. She is the sole reason we enjoyed ourselves despite the failings from the kitchen and a really awful dinner.

We decided to eat at our hotel's restaurant because the wait for food anywhere in the city has been long due to Mardi Gras crowds. But I would have rather waited an hour in the heat and crowds than eat here again. The food was SO bland and it took being ignored twice by one waitress, asking another waitress who forgot to bring it, and my husband physically getting up to ask for help, to get a bottle of hot sauce. The servers are hustling, but apart from taking your order and bringing your food, there was no other service involved. I ordered the flatbread which was anything but flat. The description included farm fresh eggs. I imagined a few eggs cracked over the flatbread and cooked in the oven, but they heaped a mountain of scrambled eggs on top, sprinkled a little bit of diced peppers and chorizo, melted a small amount of cheese and called it good. The only flavor was the oil and rosemary on the flatbread itself, but it was SO soggy from all of the egg on top that it wasn't even worth eating the bread. I was throughly unimpressed. I've only been upset by food and service a couple of times and I was noticeably saddened by this food experience. My husband got a shrimp omelette and grits. He said everything was salted, but he also wanted in on the hot sauce to bring some flavor to this meal. The fruit cup was fresh and sweet. Don't waste your time or money here for breakfast. It may suck to wait in line, but start your day off with something better.

I had a great experience. The club sandwich was the best I've ever had. The meats were extra scrumptious. I ate at the bar. The bartenders were very helpful. The service was excellent and the drinks were top notch.
