Food is fabulous never disappointed.
On behalf of everyone at Acme Lock Co this place is amazing. Some of the best breakfast in New Orleans, hands down. Very polite and awesome staff. You won’t regret trying Refuel Cafe, I’m sure you’ll will love it too!
If you are in New Orleans, you must eat here. The best grits I’ve ever had anywhere. The owner is awesome too!!!!
This has been one of my favorite breakfast places for years but I just had one of the worst dining experiences here.
A favorite spot for breakfast since they opened. The decor is cheerful and chic and features local artists' work. Service is fast and they always greet you with a smile. Fantastic coffee. Creamiest grits I've ever had. If you don't like grits, try them. If you like grits, try them. They are rich and smooth and comforting and everything that's right with the world. I ordered the Baja omelet and it was wonderful, as always. The flavors in black beans complement the ranchero sauce nicely. My friend ordered the kitchen sink grits and now I have a new favorite dish. Dad ordered the mushroom omelet with a side of biscuit and gravy. It was nice. The table shared the lemon blueberry muffins we enjoyed them immensely. They were out of their morning glory muffins, which made me sad because they are amazeballs. If they have them, grab one.
The owner is an amazing cook. Supberb grits and delicious muffins.
Phenomenal omelette and the best grits ever!
Goooood fooooood
We stopped in at any weekday morning and it was pretty quiet, but the coffee was hot and delicious and the owner and staff were gracious and happy to see us. The food was really good, including especially the grits.
If you are staying in the Uptown District or anywhere along the St. Charles Trolley Line and looking for a great breakfast; this place is for you. Head out toward the end of the line and hop off at Riverbend, walk a block to Hampson street and get ready for a treat. Refuel Cafe feels welcoming, clean and trendy as you step in. The coffee is roasted in house and there is an assortment of other drinks to soothe you. Everyone mentions the grits in their reviews with good reason. If this is your first chance to try them in New Orleans, don't miss out. You won't find a better offering. The food is fresh, clean and expertly prepared. There is an eclectic assortment of menu choices from local flavors to Mexican inspired egg dishes. The bakery items looked delicious. The fruit was organic and beautiful. What a change from some of the heavy-handed muck that we experienced in other establishments. The service is excellent and friendly. The large, sparkling restrooms are a plus.
