Everything was good however the gumbo was a bit watered down and service was slower than expected. Extremely busy night for this restaurant (8pm) My new money drink was different because it had the appearance of ice water but it was EXTREMELY DELICIOUS! Very surprising and different. Will be back soon for that flavorful gumbo I've heard so much about!
Absolutely outstanding....service, food, drinks, and overall vibe. A real treat for the Nola restaurant scene.
I wanted comfort food for dinner so returned to Saffron for the chicken biriyani and was pleased as always. Mr. Vilkhu stopped by our table to welcome us. We had a good time and will return.
Creativity, art and explosion of taste define my experience at Saffron. We really enjoyed the experience. Liam served us professionally, gave great recommendations and politely appreciated my “Dad Humor.”. Thanks for a great night out!
great spot for a few friends to get together for dinner. Entrees are easily shared. Fantastic cocktails.
This was a very beautiful and unique restaurant. The Indian-Southern fashion was delicious. We had a great time sharing the dishes family style.
As usual, excellent food. New items on the menu: scallops Kochine, Mango Salad, Lobster Malabar were outstanding
The ambience is good, the service impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable. The food was average and over-priced. I understand part of price is for the experience. I did expect it to taste better though. I ordered a potato nest which was ok. The keema naan starter was nice, a version of keema pao. The dal makhani was alright, I have certainly had better. The garlic naan were nice and fluffy, worth a try. The drinks were amazing, I got an old-fashion and my partner got a silk road, both were very well-made. Overall, a 4/5 (largely for the experience).
Our second visit after a two year absence instigated by terrible service was well worth the “risk”. The food was exceptional and the service was impeccable. We chatted briefly with the owner chef who was warm and sympathetic to our previous experience. This will be one of our go-to restaurants.
Really tasty food. I was worried it might be too spicey for me, but the wait staff were really helpful and nothing we had was overly spicey, just really tasty. Great atmosphere and fabulous service. What more could you ask for?!

Saffron has always been 5 stars for every visit. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed our experience and the food was top knotch!
Our party of 7 shared so many wonderful items on the menu from insanely creative drinks, unique shared plates and entrees, to finishing with the ginger crème brûlée and It's Not Even Your Birthday cake! Favorites were the Ginger crème brûlée and Wok Gobi but there wasn't one item we all didn't rave about. With outstanding service on top of a marvelous menu you can't go wrong with a reservation at Saffron!
Saffron Nola consistently provides a uniques and delicious dining experience. The food is excellent. Staff is fantastic taking care of all your needs. Never disappointed.
Everything was wonderful. Usually there are one of two dishes that stand out, but the four of us loved everything equally - very rare. Food was spot on. Good value for what you get. Cocktails are a little on the pricey side, but would not stop me from ordering one again. Service was impeccable. Highly recommended.
They always have tons of fantastic seafood options and the service is very New Otleans cool.
