Manager was rude and disrespectful. I asked to speak with him regarding a parking matter (high schooler and my car booted) but he came out with disrespect and disregard. The high school student couldn’t pay to remove the boot.

Very popular modern style sushi & sake bar on Magazine. Happy hour menu with a handful of sushi items and cocktail specials. Good staff, friendly place, especially Ty, a consummate creative. It must be nationally renowned as there are a lot of celebrity-signed portraits.

I had a long day at work and happened to stop in because parking was easy! So glad I did! Didn't get his name but my server was so wonderful.

I have eaten here multiple times; each time hoping for something better. And each time being let down. This is my first review and my LAST visit. The food is sub par, the service when dining in, is mediocre compared to the Metairie and Elmwood locations. When ordering takeout,?be SURE to check your bag to confirm your order is correct! And if you’re ordering takeout DO NOT be bullied into leaving a tip! There are way better sushi spots in the City! Sake Uptown - Do better!

This past Wednesday I went to Sake cafe for lunch and it was saved by our server Ron. The bartender was having severe issues that were effecting the front of the restaurant and it was clearly a mental health issue.

Ron kept things low key recommending the Cherry Blossom Tootsie Roll Yuzu Hama Nevervired Tuna and several others. He also made us our cocktails as the bartender was outside for long periods of time.

For dessert he recommended the Chocolate Mousse Cake and that was a hit. His professionalism throughout all of this was impressive and he was sweet and witty

I am sorry all of this was going on and I hope the owners and managers get control of that situation and thank Ron for his professionalism.

This place has seriously gone downhill. The food was nasty and the shrimp in our rice was raw. We told the waitress and showed her and she did nothing and acted like she couldn't tell. We even removed the shrimp from the tempura batter to show the difference. Wish I had gotten a picture. Also the rolls taste like grocery store rolls. Never again!

If I could give it zero stars I would. The owner is the worst! Holds off pay from staff. PLEASE Do not support this establishment. The owner does not deserve it. The staff is great and shouldn’t be dealing with this.

This place was A-MA-ZING! The food was wonderful, the environment was peaceful and the staff was so kind (ESPECIALLY) our server Rob (or Ron). I hope i got his name right, much apologies if i didn’t. He was very sweet, recommended great choices for me and my cousin’s first time there and he truly gave us a fun, vibrant experience with his bubbly personality. I can’t rave enough about how great of a server and his energy both are. We will most definitely be back to eat there again and will recommend anyone who’s in town to stop by and check the place out. Thank you all so much for a wonderful time!

I always order to take out.. the food is not the same.. the teriyaki chicken was stringy and dry.. the crunchy roll had no crunch. I'm just done with Sake Cafe. It's not the same.
