Fantastic place with an unbelievably talented chef and kitchen. Fantastic cocktails. Fantastic wine to go with meals. All in all we've been getting to restaurants that Ganesh has been involved with for the past 30+ yrs. It would be difficult to come up with a place we could rate any higher.

Beautiful little bar with super friendly staff that made my partner and I feel like locals from the moment we walked in. Drinks are well mixed and they host cool events like a monthly shanty sing that we came in for. Be sure to check to see if they have their pop up restaurant operating if you're planning on food since it's not always open. When they don't have food they do allow you to bring your own in.

Great spot to start your night out. I was there in December on a weekday so the bar was low key. I was glad for it because i needed a spot to just read and chill before i left for Frenchmen St. The samosas were delicious and the wine was very affordable, especially during happy hour.

The food was amazing and so was the service!!! I was with a large group for a birthday party. Silk Road was very accommodating and kind. I recommend Silk Road for parties large and small!

Silk Road Restaurant in the Bywater is always on our list for a dinner while in New Orleans. Upscale neighborhood bar restaurant with better food that you would expect and a very reasonable wine list.

Silk Road is a path to food Karma. Walk the road less traveled to the destination of delicious entrees. The traffic stop is the Brussels sprouts bursting with flavor! You can’t wine over the AsianSalad. Hunker into a table and relax…

Silk Road never disappoints. Great Indian fusion food, nice employees and decent drink prices.

I went with an older female friend for their Coolinary menu. I added the wine pairing for $20. They had waters on the table ready for us before we sat down. The 2 female wait staff was attentive and friendly. It was our first time there and we will be back! The food was delicious and portions great for all appetites.

The place feels and looks great. Neat menu with an interesting mix of foods. The samosas and the chicken tikka marsala were wonderful. The braised short rib could have been the same, but was on the dry side. The low point was service. Brusque and not a real welcome feeling. We got the bill handed to us before we had decided on dessert. And keeping the silverware in between appetizers and main course is just awkward on a table with no table cloth or bread dishes.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Silk Road during their Coolinary Month promotion, and it turned out to be quite an experience. My partner and I opted for the three-course meal priced at just $40, making it an attractive deal right off the bat.Starting with the appetizer, I chose the Lemongrass Crab Bisque. The delicate blend of lemongrass and crab created a tantalizing aroma that whetted my appetite. The bisque had a smooth and creamy texture, with just the right amount of warmth. It set the tone for a promising meal ahead. For the main course, I went with the Fire Roasted Salmon. The presentation was impeccable, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. The fire-roasting technique imparted a delightful smokiness to the fish, complemented by a medley of well-seasoned vegetables. The portion was generous, leaving me satisfied yet wanting more. The grand finale was the Mango Cheesecake. As a fan of both mangoes and cheesecake, this dessert was a match made in heaven for me. The velvety cheesecake had a subtle mango flavor that wasn't overpowering, and the crust added a pleasant crunch. It was a sweet ending that left me with a smile. What pleasantly surprised me was the serene ambiance of the restaurant. Despite being a weekend, it wasn't bustling with a crowd, allowing for a more intimate dining experience. The service was prompt and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyment. Now, about the wine pairing--while the concept was intriguing, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The wines provided were decent, but they didn't elevate the flavors of the dishes as I had hoped. I believe there's room for improvement in this aspect. In conclusion, my visit to Silk Road during Coolinary Month was a delightful culinary adventure. The three-course meal was well worth the $40, and the standout dishes for me were the Lemongrass Crab Bisque, Fire Roasted Salmon, and Mango Cheesecake. If you're seeking a serene dining experience with delectable offerings, Silk Road is definitely worth a visit.Disclaimer: This review is based on my personal experience and taste preferences.
