Silk Road is a bit off the beaten path, but we were very interested in trying the restaurant. The reviews looked great, but they were old. We are so glad that we ate dinner here. We ate outside as it was a beautiful evening and the inside didn't appeal to us. The food was amazing and the prices incredibly (almost unbelievably) reasonable. Silk Road Restaurant & Wine Bar is a popular spot in the Marigny area, just outside the French Quarter. This Indian-Asian-Creole fusion restaurant is known for its fantastic service and unique atmosphere. The menu features a variety of dishes, including the Golden Lentils, Korean Brussel Sprouts, Braised Short Ribs, and Thai Green Curry, as well as the delicious mint yogurt chutney and mulligatawny. The restaurant also offers a range of vegetarian options, which are highly recommended. The happy hour menu is excellent, with a food menu and a selection of drinks, including the popular duck fat old fashioned and the lemon drop shot. The wine selection is competitive, and the bartenders are efficient and pleasant.
