Its always a problem with this establishment everytime I order, whether in person or uber eats, Theres no way a customer should have to order at a ‘certain time of the day’ to receive decent service and fresh food (ON TIME). Too many bad reviews Close up shop

I have been on Downman before Smileys opened and have been going there on and off since they opened! I recently had a bad experience and it’s definitely not the first! I was googling my business and seen Smileys on here so I decided to read reviews! So sad and glad to see I wasn’t tripping about shorty at register! She has been there since beginning because she’s family! The fact that it’s a known issue and she is allowed to make customers feel so uncomfortably is ridicules! Her daddy is the cook and the owner is his brother or something like that so that’s where she has to be cause she definitely couldn’t work for any other establishment running customers off! Food is good tho when they do it right!

Sooo the red beans and rice was absolutely delicious the fish was ok nothing special in Nola cause it's catfish on every corner, the lemon pepper wings was over powering and really salty, like unappetizing ? and also, the strawberry piña colada daiquiri was amazing. They real heavy with the liquor so enjoy.

Great Breakfast Lunch and Dinner options to choose from and everything is prepared for you when you place your order. Which is fresh and hot food and not food that has been sitting underneath a warming lamp. Each meal is a great meal seasoned and made exactly the way you placed yourorder.

Parking: Safe and visible parking spots and also you can choose to dine outside.

Kid-friendliness: Very nice to kids and has a great kids menu option for "Toddlers to Teens". But once "Happy Hour" begins kids are no longer able to enter and if dining your table will be asked to leave.

The service: we went to get today’s special…charbroiled oysters. The service was AWFUL. Naomi, who was working at the counter was EXTREMELY rude. The moment we walked in she yelled, “Sit wherever! If you want something you have to come to the counter to get it and pay.” She didn’t even want to give us menus. Instead pointing to the wall. They do have printed menus. Two other customers that came in after us actually left because of her attitude. A gentleman had an issues getting buzzed in and as soon as he finally came in she cursed at him and told him he better use some muscle to pull the door next time because she, “Damn sure not coming around the counter to let him in.” She further cursed him when he looked at her funny and suggested she learn some manners.

The food: The red beans and rice were amazing! The oyster were just okay. The lemon pepper wings were too salty and *shock* far too lemony.

I did not get to try the food. The Girl at register was very rude. I Came here excited to try the big breakfast plate but was told breakfast was over yet on their website it says breakfast is served all day. It’s Really upsetting because I was really looking forward to eating here. Please hire better wait staff. And if you don’t like your job get a new one. Smh.
