The smoothies and service are ok; but can someone explain to me what this means:
"If you leave this parking lot for ANY reason you will be towed at your expense [sic] this is private property"
What kind of message does that serve to the public where if you reasonably park in your lot (which, to your credit, also has signs saying Smoothie King customers only) to risk getting towed if I'm pulling in to get a smoothie? Do you have a ravenous vulture sitting in a tow across the street waiting for some poor, unsuspecting patron ready to have their day ruined?
All levity aside, fix your signs, and make sure they make sense. Whoever wrote yours that you bought in bulk scalped you for a buck.

A friend and I arrived at Smoothie King (SK) at approximately 7:20pm on 1/23/24, and parked to get a smoothie while dropping off my friend. I saw the towing signs but knowing I was getting a smoothie I knew I should be safe to park. I walked my friend to their work (right next to the SK), then went into SK to get my drink (have the receipt). I walked out and my car is being towed by the Green Acres towing company. The driver made me pay him $140 cash to drop my car (attached the receipt), he said I left the parking lot and wasn't a SK customer. Showing my receipt, he claimed I left the parking lot so he could tow me even though I was a customer. I returned to the SK employees to see if they could help, and they said I should not be towed but this did not stop him from holding my car hostage. I believe that Smoothie king has a special place in the New Orleans community and based on the store employee's response to my car being towed, Smoothie King will do the right thing in my case as a paying customer so that I will continue to get my Gladiator coffees when I need a post workout boost. I would like to be a customer in the future, but I cant see myself or anyone I tell going back if unresolved. MY CAR WAS HELD HOSTAGE AND I WAS MUGGED !! Still haven't gone back because my complaint and email has gone unheard.

I walked in and advised the young lady that I'm waiting for a mobile pickup. Instead of her checking to see if it was ready. She walked away while the two others stood there doing nothing. Finally after over 5 minutes or so, basically another customer came in and got their smoothie fix. She checked the fridge and put them in the mobile order area without saying anything. I would have appreciate better customer service along with my smoothies. Now I regret tipping.

This place rarely has patrons which made me wonder how they stay in business until I figured out that the store is just a front for the much more lucrative side hustle. Parking in that area is horrific due to Venezia and Brocato, which are always popping unlike smoothie king. I parked for less than 5 minutes since not a living soul was in the store and only an extremely healthy looking rat(probably the only creature who gets anything from smoothie king) in the always empty parking lot. I thought it was closed. I come out approximately 3 minutes later, if that, to find my car jacked up by a tow truck. $140 cash was demanded of me. After mugging me, a truck that wasn't even parked in the lot was then lifted and sitting in the corner of the parking lot for more than half an hour. I saw that truck and it WAS NOT blocking the driveway but I'm sure that will be their excuse for holding it for ransom. I suppose when you can't sell overpriced goods you have to find some way to pay the bills. Hopefully karma will come to the tow truck driver who gets $50 per transaction and also the smoothie king owner. I cannot wait to see that useless, wasted space boarded up and closed for good.
Sign on the door says they close at 9pm. But they literally shut the door 15 minutes prior and said they were counting the drawer. Respect your hours or change them, we visit your location to get your product not get disrespected. If you check my profile I rarely leave bad revirews unless deserved. Don't come here unless you got "plenty of time" to make it.

I wish I could give a -0 star. The night staff on 11/10/23 were outrageous rude all women then came outside looking at me get in my car . Worst smoothie king , un professional.
