Wonderful placeWonderful people
It’s was easy to take the Amtrak train. Safe and good vibes place!
The Magnolia room for first class passengers has muffins and water, but no coffee or tea. Very 70's ish! But, better then an Amshack!
Third time in New Orleans but first time to take Amtrak. Union station is near the business district and the French Quarter so it was easy to take a walk to the hotel. We passed by a supermarket (Rouse) along the way to get some necessities. Union station is quite an old building, it deserves to be renovated and updated just to clean and bring up the old world charm it probably used to have. Staff and crew are efficient and friendly.
Not a bad place. People are clear about directions and help. I guess I’m just used to the Union stations in Chicago and DC.
Not satisfied with the new time changes, I got off the boat at 830am train doesn't arrive until 245pm?
Bus terminal
Very nice and clean
Clean and busy.
We purchased a private room and this waiting area was a part of the experience. You should try it.

We took tram from French Market to UPT. It was amazing experience. Just went from French market to UPT and then back to French market in same TRAM.Amazing experience because that tram runs from city highway so you will get good view from TRAM.
Easy to get to
I have used Union Passenger Terminal many times, both for the bus and Amtrak. Coming and going the connection is always smooth. The staff in the station are helpful and getting to and from the platforms is easy. The platforms are paved and covered so weather is not a concern. Getting to and from the terminal is also easy. It is convenient to Mid City and the French Quarter and there are always an abundance of cabs as well as easy Uber service.
Came into the sandwich shop in the bus terminal. The woman at the counter asked me what I wanted. I told her I wanted a number 30 never had a number 30 I don’t know what’s on it. She started asking me what’s on the 30 I do not know I told her that part of the sign is covered up and got upset at me because I didn’t know it was on the sandwich and started to Yell at me because she didn’t know what supposed to be on the sandwich and I should it’s a Restaurant if you don’t know what’s on the menu, don’t take it out on the customer who’s ordering from that same menu very rude and unprofessional so I turned around and walked out. Would you give me the store number would give me the manager nothing very unprofessional staff
Quick and simple way to get to Downtown New Orleans.
