We predominantly went for the music of Irvin Mayfield and guests for his Blackout show which was sensational but we loved everything about this place. It has a great vibe with friendly staff and the food is pretty damm good too. Our waiter Darius was friendly and helpful and kept our drink and food flowing. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and we'll definitely be back for more.

Sweet Loraine's is a hidden gem It's black owned. The staff and service is great. They have some good food and drinks and if you like live music you can't go wrong here.

While on vacation with some friends in New Orleans, I visited Sweet Lorraine's Jazz Cafe & Bar.
I had a special invitation from a very nice gentleman to join him there.
My friends and I had a wonderful time. We enjoyed to great music, good and delicious foods. 😋

I hope you get to enjoy this establishment, it's off the beaten path but oh boy the trip is worth it.

Authentic jazz type feel with amazing ambiance and friendly service.

But the food is what made the night for me, the lamb chops paired with the sweet patato puree was esquisite then the sauce paired with the catfish was fantastic. Great flavors all around.
Unfortunately, because we arrive quite late in the evening, we only caught the tail end of the live Jazz bandso will visit again to get the full experience.

The Heart of the Treme. Best Gumbo in town. Iconic local musicians grace the stage. New Orleans at its best.

Absolutely loved my waitress. Mad cool chick. So glad they had vegan options. The mushrooms were sooooo good I made a 2nd order but they were out. Vegan crab cake was ok. The grits were the bomb too. My friend said her food was good, but she was thrown off by spaghetti as the Mac n cheese. I would defly go back...actually I tried, but it was closed ? the hours are never what I need on places I can eat at
