I was so pleased with everything at Sweet Soulfood! The food was delicious, and the portions were giant! Between my husband and myself, we shared fried mushrooms, collard greens, mac and cheese, jambalaya, red beans and rice, corn bread, and okra gumbo. The red beans and rice and the gumbo were my favorite. Everything was great though! The lady at the counter was welcoming and gave us a sample of cauliflower while we made our selections. It's definitely worth a visit when in NOLA.

It's time for me to head on back to NOLA. While there I had the pleasure of stumbling upon this nice Black Owned Gem.

I made it there just in the nick of time because they were in the process of closing and they welcomed me in as the last customer. They hooked me up too on the portion sizes. Super friendly, fantastic customer service!! Food was super delicious. I slaughtered this food ya hear me! Everything was well seasoned and fulfilling. It felt like Thanksgiving all over again!! Yummy, Yummy, Yummy (Justin's voice)

The overall meal was a 10/10. Overall Experience 10/10!!! Tell 'em Multiiee sent you when you go!!

Delicious! I had the cashew Mac, lasagna, and orange cauliflower which were all delicious. I also got a side of fried rice but didn’t get to try it because I was so stuffed. Staff are very friendly. Everything I ordered was a great mix of sweet and a little spicy. I do wish they had their ice creams still - it would have been nice to try, however I am so full I quite frankly wouldn’t have had any room for dessert. We also had the strawberry lemonade which was very tasty and refreshing in the steamy NOLA heat. I would love to see them offer a “sampler plate” of up to 7 dishes in much smaller portions, that way I would be able to try even more! All in all, everything was very tasty and the best vegan food we tried in NOLA.

Food is fresh and high quality, healthy and authentic. Good people. The only suggestion I have is they should really have a large hot sauce collection. Hot sauces are vegan, after all, and with all the great hot sauces in NOLA Sriracha as the only hot sauce was a weird choice. Collard greens, okra gumbo, red beans, jambalaya...yum

Recommended dishes: Jambalaya, Red Beans

Some of the best vegan food EVERRRRRRRR. Customer service is always TOP TIER! Food portion is enough for 2 servings (maybe 3 servings for others, don’t judge me lol).

I had the jambalaya 7/10 (only because of the sweetness), the fried cauliflower 10/10 and the collard greens 10/10. I also had the strawberry lemonade 10/10.

Go and get you some!!!!!

This cafeteria-style lunch joint dishes out the real thing—Louisiana-inflected soul food— with generosity and heart. Everything is tasty, but a few items deserve special recognition: the okra gumbo, macaroni and (vegan) cheese, and sweet heat cauliflower. The portions are enormous: we were eating leftovers for most of a week.

This place is in my top tier of NOLA foods! The atmosphere was great. The people were friendly and fun. The juice was FRESHLY squeezed! This food slapped!!! As soon as I left I immediately missed the sweet heat cauliflower. If they have it when you go, get it in the large side of your dish and thank me on this post. Also, you're welcome! Everything was amazing!!! I went with 2 friends & we all sampled each other's plates (best way to eat on vaca, imo). It left us full but not heavy, satisfied but not slagging.. Don't miss out on this meal! You have to try them!!
