Great, authentic NOLA experience; we'd done lunch on the patio overlooking the Square during our last NOLA visit, and loved it. Returned for dinner. This is a fantastic NOLA dining opportunity: good breadth in the menu, the dishes are all prepared exceedingly well and not in tiny portions, and if you can get the patio seating on a nice weather day, you have an utterly unpredictable, ever-changing “floor show” which is the blend of tourists and and locals all moving about along Jackson Square. There is also a beautiful courtyard if you prefer quiet dining.

1/5 recommend. Service was good. Food was tasteless and poor quality.

James our server was very personable but didn't know yhe menu. Said he" missed the meeting "!! Apps were ok but not memorable. My entre of Bouillabase was the WORST I have had anywhere. Bread was soggy no flavor and missing mussels as stated on the menu. When asked James said they were out. Guess it was because he missed the "Meeting ". My wife's Gumbo was bland. Will never go back. A waste of money and time especially for New Orleans. They did comp a dessert since it was our Anniversary. Cream Brulee that was good but that really didn't make up for a dinner that was subpar.

This time at the restaurant pretty much everything went wrong. It took almost an hour for us to get our food after we ordered. It took three requests to get butter to go with our bread At least we had some bread to eat while waiting I've had many great meals at Tableau. This was an embarrassment and a disaster.

My boyfriend and I ate here Saturday night November 2nd for my birthday. The atmosphere in the courtyard was amazingly beautiful. The service was stellar. They made me feel very special. Thank you!!

This is one of those restaurants that have minimal options for entrees and majorly overpriced. We ordered the Demi Royal and it was not that good. The shrimp was tasteless, the crab claws were small with barely any meat and overloaded with truffle butter which was nasty. The blue crab fondue was decent but not a lot of crab and it was a thin layer on a small plate. For my entree I ordered the chicken tableau and it was a good portion. I can say that was priced decently and it was okay but a very basic meal. I can say I won’t go back there again, not for the price it is! I did like our server, he was funny and he cared

We booked the Taylor Swift balcony party for Saturday. We had a blast. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because a girl came and took our beads that we were given to throw from the balcony and put them on her table. When I confronted her about it she said she worked there and was going to her office to get more beads. When I saw her again she, with a smirk on her face said, “oh, I must have given them all out before your table”. She was quite rude obviously trying to ruin our experience! To the girl in the picture attached, thank you for being so sweet! It was still magical even with the other girl trying to be mean!

We started off great and went downhill from there. Not sure what happened but our waiter turned out to be a jerk. Everyone else was kind and friendly. He was condescending and just acted like we were taking up his. We didn't notice this with any of his other tables so not really sure what motivated his attitude. Food was ok. The atmosphere was high class. It would've been better if James hadn't been in a snit.

Spent $75 per person for a Taylor swift experience and buffet.
Food was terrible and cold.
Expected much more from this place.

The Brennan’s are known for excellence. Had dinner last night with friend and the service started out great. We ate in the balcony and it was the perfect setting Our food came promptly, except the server forgot to bring the bread. We ordered the strawberry salad, and honestly, it was unfit to be served. The lettuce was limp and in some places slimy, obviously very old and the “goat cheese” was actually a dollop of what tasted like cream cheese. Frankly, that salad was a travesty. However, the shrimp and grits were fabulous. Perfectly spiced and the grits were cooked correctly, smooth and creamy with fabulous mouth feel. When the hostess was seating another group near us, I told her that we had never gotten any bread and she promptly brought it over herself. Later, our server appeared and started clearing the plates without asking if we were finished, took my bread plate with my half finished bread and butter, and started to walk away. I stopped her and she was very embarrassed But seriously, that was a major faux pas in a restaurant like this Our cocktails were excellent, and we were easily accommodated when we asked for modifications to change the alcohol from gin to tequila—super tasty and perfectly balanced Altogether an uneven experience, but the main course and the cocktails really stood out.

Fabulous food, great service and a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is light and airy, and it's not cheap, but then you get what you pay for. The demi royal starter for the table was delicious, especially the blue crab fondue. My partner had the seafood bouillabaisse entree, which was top notch, and I had the summer seafood pasta, which was fabulous. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for an excellent dining experience.

Oh my, I had the most amazing dinner with my husband Steve. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and the restaurant staff treated us so well. I had a crab fondue from heaven and Steve had a perfect crawdad dish. We will be back for sure!

Visited Tableau for Brunch, and had a balcony reservation to take in the unrivalled views. We were seated on the “shade” side of the balcony and it was COLD. We were the ONLY diners in the whole place, and we asked to move to the sunny side of the balcony, or even inside, and our server told us we would have to go in, go downstairs and ask to be moved to a new table, and then wait for a new one. So we stayed on the balcony which detracted from our experience. Suggest some blankets are left out, or even patio heaters are installed. All that aside though - I can’t recommend this place enough. I had the FRIED OYSTER PAN ROAST with fried oysters, brie, ciabatta, applewood bacon, honey crisp apples, Herbsaint cream. I honestly think it’s one of the best things I’ve eaten in the Quarter (and I’m slowly working my way around it all!). It was delicious! We also got bread to start which I think is quite rare in New Orleans - we’ve only had this common gesture in Tableau, Commanders Palace, and of course GW Fins (fluffy biscuits!). The Bloody Mary was good too I enjoyed all the usual fixin’s and a good spice level. Service from Miss Ruby was exceptional, and we finally know what the Blue Angels are! The place is stunning inside, and I’ll definitely be back for an inside (warm) dinner on our next visit.
