Maybe they had a bad night we went but if there was one word to describe the whole experience it would be, HORRIBLE. Hopefully they get their act together, I don't think they will as they acted arrogant and unapologetic.

Horrific. Seriously it is masquerading as an upscale restaurant. The pics of the food from the menu they've posted are GROSSLY DIFFERENT from what you actually get. paper thin steak.... Yes I said PAPER thin. Looked like a ketchup smear.i didn't know steak could be sliced so thin it's see through. The cheese slice had more girth. The service was sad. Server said the shitty meal we got was different yesterday and didn't know. Then they over cooked the other steak we ordered and promised it was steak thick. 1/4" thick to be exact. But was over cooked, sent back and was still charged full price for EVERYTHING even though nothing was accurate. The server was clearly new. I asked three people that worked there about the two "steaks" and was promised they'd be fixed or "sold" that this was how it's served. Lol. Didn't know they had jokes for restaurants. RUN RUN RUN. Spend your money somewhere else. Go to Katie's. Sooo much better. For reference, we aren't local. First timers in LA. 40's and fit. Unfortunately I was so busy trying to get the food correct I didn't have time to take pics, As I had to go look for my server.

We had a reservation for 8:15; weren't seated until 8:35. We then sat at a table without service for another 20 minutes, not being offered water at any point. By 50 minutes after our reservation time, we just left and weren't acknowledged by anyone. Definitely don't recommend to anyone.

Nicely decorated restaurant above the bar, which can be loud but energetic. The service was adequate but seemed shorthanded. The food was very average. Olives and beef carpaccio were good. However, the ceasar was swimming in dressing (not tossed) and the crawfish crepe was more bready than a crepe should be with minimal flavor. We think they need more time to refine the menu.

This was a total hidden gem right above the bustling music halls of Frenchman street! The food was absolutely amazing. The charbroiled oysters, lamb lollipops, and octopus were perfection. With all the big name restaurants we visited in New Orleans, this was our favorite meal of the trip. Ambience was nice and quiet and the wines were awesome. You won't regret giving this place a try!

Every now was delicious. An amazing experience on Frenchmen St. the Brie and Crab Bisque was wonderful!

Simply put, outstanding! I have traveled to over 15 countries and tried many different restaurants and cooking styles. Chef Mondy's cooking is one of the best fine-cooking experiences I have ever had. Excellent wine at good prices and a grilled octopus without compare.

Went with my partner for a 4 course Valentine's day prix fixe menu. Our server Kris was phenomenal, and recommended wines along with stirring up a Sazerac. The flavors in every course were outstanding. We each had a lobster bisque for our first course. Our second course was an abita shrimp and grits with a rich and delicious gravy, as well as a stuffed portobello mushroom over arugula with balsamic. For entrees we had an amazingly tender red snapper and mashed potatoes with a citrus sauce that surprised and delighted us both, as well as a savory filet topped with foie gras and a side of au gratin potatoes. Before our deserts arrived, the charming Kris offered us some of the best French pressed coffee we have had in a long time. We enjoyed that coffee with a strawberry cobbler and a vanilla ice cream profiteroles. The music from the bar below was not bad, but a bit lively for the beautiful setting of the place. Overall, I'd have another celebration here again, and keep a lookout for the creative menus that this place has to offer.

Food was good and service was good. Only negative is the spinach was a tad to salty. Other than that every other dish I had was amazing flavor. The vibes were immaculate. I 100% recommend.

What a great find. The atmosphere is calming and pleasant. The service was excellent and the food was superb. Ceviche, lasagne, and trout were very fresh, flavorful and well balanced. Bread pudding and chocolate cake and excellent finish.

This hidden gem above Bamboulas is the best kept secret on Frenchman. Perched above one of the best live music venues, Tapas E Vino will certainly be some of the best tapas you may encounter. We stumbled in after a parade and settled in overlooking Frenchman, started with a very reasonable, utterly delicious bottle of Tempranillo, and worked our way through half the tapas, finishing with the seasonal berry cobbler. This is one of those places you HAVE to add to your list, you will NOT regret it. We already have our order for the next visit. Cannot wait to return! 5 stars aren't enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything we order to eat was fantastic. The octopus, ceviche and ham as all had fantastic flavor. The lamb lollipops and duck fat fries were perfect. Wine list is relatively limited but had great representation and very reasonable prices. Great bottles from Spain for $30-40.

Tapas e Vino is a great restaurant with a wonderful Spanish flair. The small plates are wonderful and allowed us to have several types of taste. The wine pairings were spot on and added greatly to our meal. Our server was super friendly and explained each item. The decor is very nicely done and while it as too cold the night we dined, there is also a great gallery for outside dining, with a wonderful view.Vegetarian options: Several non-meat itemsDietary restrictions: Staff will try to assist with any restrictions you make them aware ofParking: Street parking and paid lots in the areaKid-friendliness: Kids allowed but more an adult environmentWheelchair accessibility: Upstairs location

Food was very good. Octopus was particularly good. Small but good wine list. Nice space. Chilly and a little drafty, but to be expected with the very cold weather. Service was a bit spotty. Servers were pleasant and helpful but seemed inexperienced. Overall, a good experience and we will definitely go back.
