We were really disappointed with our New Year’s Eve dinner. We opted for the fixed menu and, given the nearly $300 price point, expected a much higher standard. Portions were quite small, the meat courses came out cold, and several of the flavors felt off or poorly balanced.
For a special occasion and premium pricing, the experience did not meet expectations. Unfortunately, it fell far short of what we were hoping would be a memorable NYE meal.

Table too close to the exterior door and it was cold when patrons came in or out. Music too loud in certain areas of the restaurant. Tables in our area were too close together causing the wait staff to have their butts in our faces while deliberating with the table next to us. The fried food was overcooked, steak was cold and under seasoned. Best parts of three entrees was the chicken pamagiana and the shrimp. Would go back for the value but with different expectations in mind the next go around.
Food was awful. Four in our party and no one was happy. Gulf fish was burnt and dry, gulf shrimp was inedible, lamb meatballs were cold, cacio e pepe was bland and tasted like it was a reheated leftover from two days earlier, fritto misto was basically fried batter with no actual seafood in it. Prices are crazy high. We only came here because we had dining credits that needed to be used before end of year. I have no idea how they are in business still.
Presentation was nice. Cold air kept coming in when door was opened. We moved to the other side of the restaurant and everything was fine.
Friendly and interactive staffs. Good selection of food. Good environment. Only drawback is for 1 year old baby, there's not much choice.
The Bah Humbug bar was really cute and we enjoyed the small plates and drinks! We were seated in a corner initially but they were willing to move us so we could see more of the action.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our meal and experience at The Bower, we were looking for a quieter restaurant in New Orleans the weekend after Christmas, this fit the bill, delicious fresh italian food, excellent service, the staff were all amazing, attentive without being intrusive. The Christmas decorations were great and the cocktails were also fabulous!
Christmas Nog was almost as great as our server, Sebastian!
Our party of 5 enjoyed several small plates, the mezze platter, several large plates and dessert. The crispy cauliflower was spicy and a big hit, as well as the milder lamb meatballs and the whipped feta complimented the mezze platter. Server Hannah kept the food coming as we ate through the shrimp, pasta with bolognese and chicken parmigiana large dishes. The flourless chocolate cake and peanut butter refrigerator cake were a fine finish. Liked the fresh vibe!
Everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic. The bolognese, chicken parm, and hanger steak were all incredible!

To eat, we tried a variety of items - thankful that there were quite a few options for vegetarians. The Bower Potatoes are a must (perfectly crispy and that green goddess dressing?! So good), the Crispy Cauliflower is not as crispy as I hoped for but still a great kimchi-esque flavor, the Basil Spaghetti was nice but could've used a tad more salt, and the Avocado Panzanella was surprisingly my favorite dish of the evening! Great flavors and texture here.
Our waitress was very sweet and food came out quickly.

Arrived at the restaurant to be told by the manager that the Reveillon had to be
Full table, which was not advertised on website. The manager on duty was rude and unwilling to Accommodate. Food was fair My suggestion would be Herb Saint or any other restaurant in New Orleans. Our waitress, Kayla was very accommodating and apologized for the inconvenience.

Fun place for Christmas time. My friend and I went for dinner. I wasn’t feeling the best and the waitress went out of her way to get us out quickly. I want to go back to try more food. The Christmas cocktails were fun. I am definitely going back. Easy to get to from i10.

This spot is an absolute gem in the neighborhood. The restaurant in front is both elegant and inviting. The bar in back is more casual, but full of class and good vibes. The employees are the cherry on top, as they all are just fantastic. Their holiday theme in the back bar is super fun right now. Their happy hour is PHENOMENAL. And chargrilled oysters night? Get out. So good. Try this spot!
