The Dungeon Reviews
I love this place!! I was told by a local to go here and it did not disappoint! Loved the staff and drinks were good bc they were $25 shots of tequila! 😂 don’t forget to go upstairs and also buy a tshirt!! But don’t take any photos inside! It’s a mystery!! 😉
Always loved a good dive bar. 80s heavy metal music on an old school juke box. Friendly bartenders and great ambiance
I introduced my husband to New Orleans but we both found the Dungeon together and it’s a highlight of our trip every time we come down from Detroit. When we’re in town over the Halloween weekend, we will definitely be in…bringing my brother-in-law this time so he can experience the awesomeness.

The Dungeon is a unique bar experience perfect for those who appreciate a spooky atmosphere. Located in New Orleans, the bar is known for its great music, especially goth rock on the jukebox, and phenomenal bartenders like Emily, who provides excellent service and engages with guests. The jukebox only requires $1 per song, and many visitors enjoy dancing in the jukebox room until close. The decor is intentionally dark and mysterious, featuring dark corners, strange energy, and a dungeon theme, making it an immersive experience. While it's not a traditional restaurant, the bar serves great drinks and offers comfortable seating, despite being a cozy space. Visitors should remember the first rule of the Dungeon: no photos or videos inside, or they will be asked to leave. The upstairs bar area was closed during visits, and the restrooms are basic. Friendly staff and a lively, mysterious atmosphere make The Dungeon a must-visit for those who enjoy a unique nightlife experience, especially if they love metal music and appreciate a place that doesn’t try to be anything but itself. It has a gothic, underground feel, with odd relics lining the walls and an ambiance that feels like a fever dream. This bar may not be for everyone, but it delivers a nightlife experience with edge, grit, and character.
