Amazing little gem and just a short walk from the sculpture garden. Everything was full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. The lentil soup and falafel were top notch! So good!!!

Stopped in while walking by and had the best falafel, lentil soup, and spiced chicken. The service was great, easy going but always there if we needed something. It's got a great sunny vibe and I would recommend it to everyone. A must try if you're in the neighborhood. My wife and I will definitely be back. Definitely one if the best meals I've had.

We'd been wanting to try this charming little place near Bayou St.John, and we loved it! We had "The Feast", or something like that, and added the charred scallion whipped feta. We had enough to take half of it home for a picnic the next day! It was about 50 bucks before drinks, and we got 4 total meals out of it. Great value as well as being scrumptious! Sweet people working there, cute atmosphere, everything house made.

STUNNING food!! We travel constantly and wherever we don't have accommodation with a kitchen, cooking equipment, etc, we revert to living off of takeaways. We were sick of fast food options and wanted something a bit healthier and different so we tried this place. And we weren't let down by it! We ordered: - falafel platter, with humus, kale, cabbage salad, tahini, toum, zhoug and fresh bread - chicken platter, with humus, kale, cabbage salad, tahini, toum, zhoug and fresh bread - brussel sprouts (flash fried in lemon vinaigrette) It was all extremely fresh, and tasty! Best falafels I've tasted! Highly priced though for what it is, but we thoroughly enjoyed our delicious dishes. Highly recommended.

This is simply outstanding Mediterranean food in a cute but casual environment. You order at the counter and even the interior is simple. It strikes me as more of a lunch place rather than dinner. The food is delicious. We loved the spicy chicken, the falafel And the various vegetable dishes we had. Also they don’t have an extensive wine list but the wine they have is delicious and priced fairly. In our case we had an Armenian wine which I have never had before and it was absolutely wonderful. Come here for high-quality ingredients and food prepared by talented people.

If you live for falafel without all the parsley inside then this spot is for you! Also a wonderfully creative menu, with all the healthy options you could ask for! Delicious and healthy food all in one place- I found out about them from their food truck, and have only heard good things from others I've talked to about them. Worth a visit!

For some reason NO has at least 6 Middle Eastern restaurants and Cafes. 1000 Figs is in the top 2, for quality, authenticity and portions. The platters are huge, way to much so they are really for 2 or 3 meals? The best and I'm not sure these are Middle Eastern, are the roasted brussel sprouts. No alcohol but next door is a wine bar where you can sit and eat your 1000 Figs lunch accompanied by a dry rose - oh so continental! I almost thought I was in Europe! Great food, small, and intimate, always crowded at lunch and weekends

GOOD: Great lunch spot. Healthy, fresh, vegetable-oriented. Bread is delicious. Incorporates seasonal vegetables. Food options will please pretty much everyone. The venue is ideal for a casual, 2-3 person lunch meet-up. BAD: Used to be 5/5. Have eaten here 4 separate times in past three months and find many of the dishes are not as good as they used to be. The portions are smaller, the brussel sprouts are overly salty, the falafel has become oily. Additionally, the staff seem disconnected and unenthused.

So fresh and good! Smaller space so I'm not sure how good it'd be for groups. We loved it as a date night.

Good falafel and a cute, trendy decor. I like taking out-of-town visitors there and the spot is close to City Park.

Tried for the first time tonight with a gift certificate and I can honestly say I won't go back. Food was mediocre at best. Staff was barely attentive. Lots of chatter & laughing among them and we were basically ignored from start to finish. Rice was bland - no flavor at all; chicken was 2 pieces of rubbery & stringy dark meat. (Menu should state white meat is not what's used) LOTS of cilantro was used on the falafel platter. It was overpowering. The falafel itself was delicious, as was the hummus. However the platter literally was served with 2 small triangles of pita and 4 tiny falafel balls. The place is small, maybe 8-10 tables at most, so we got there around 5-ish before the dinner crowd. They seem to do a good bit of take out too. At one point we were the only ones in the restaurant and the staff was gathered at one table talking and laughing quite loudly for the size of the place. All in all, quite a disappointing first visit. Far better food in the city for a return trip back here.

We had a wonderful meal at 1000 Figs. The service was great, the prices were fantastic, and the quality was excellent. We had a falafel plate, falafel sandwich, chicken sandwich, hummus, and baba ganoush at our table. I would recommend any of these items to anyone planning on going to 1000 Figs. It was a memorable meal, and we will be back!

3.5 stars - because I am not quite sure if I am a TRUE fan yet I had been hearing the hype about 1000 Figs for quite some time from a few of my friends and neighbors, but it took a long time for us to finally stop in and have a meal. There was some outside seating available but being a hotbox, we decided to sit inside and save the outside seating for a much cooler day. Immediately upon walking in I was surprised to see that the restaurant was actually much smaller than I had imagined from the outside. If I had to guess, I'd venture to say that you could seat 20-30 people inside. The clientele and staff definitely had a hipster vibe, and as Seinfeld once stated, "not that there's anything wrong with that". We went out on a limb to try something a little different and ordered the radishes appetizer. It was a very small portion and looked exquisite with it's rich colors; however, neither of us truly enjoyed it. My wife got the chicken sandwich (wrapped in flatbread) and graciously let me sample it. It was deliciously rich and was spiced perfectly, no doubt from the feta and harissa sauce. I opted for the lamb & pork kofta platter with cilantro & pistachio duqqa, yogurt, Louisiana rice, cabbage slaw, grilled market vegetables and harissa sauce. Beautifully plated, it was even better tasting than it looked. The highlights of the dish were definitely the meat and grilled veggies, and it was definitely a generous portion. Our server was good to go but she got a little busy as the restaurant filled to capacity within 15 minutes of our arrival. The seating was a little close so noise could definitely be a factor. No secret conversations here as you could hear all the conversations of the adjoining tables. But all in all this place was definitely A-Ok.

The food here is spectacular. However, if you're sitting inside with your back to the wall of windows, be prepared to be very uncomfortable.

One word: FANTASTIC!!!! Well, who can just have one word for that foodgasm? I got the Falafel plate delivered by Uber Eats. The Falafel was the lightest fluffiest that I've ever had! The accompaniments were a perfect balance of mouth bursting flavor. Did I say is was fantastic??? Thank you! I'll be back... tomorrow.
