I was studying there for a while and tried to go into the bathroom several times, but it was locked. I asked the barista if there were keys to the bathroom and the barista told me no and that if the door is locked, someone is in there. I sit back down to resume studying and later heard someone going into the bathroom with keys and walked out and handed the keys directly to the barista that told me there were no keys. I am not sure why someone would blatantly lie about this but I got the message that maybe my presence was not welcomed there and quickly left. I did order a cold brew so it’s not like I wasn’t a customer. Will not be returning.

The hot chocolate was great as well as the scones. They also had a great atmosphere to relax and maybe even strike a conversation. The owner was super nice and overall everything was wonderful!,

I got drip coffee ☕ and a mushroom cheese empanada. Dave got the yellow curry empanada 🥟. Both were very good. Baristas were helpful and polite. We met the owner, very welcoming.

The coffee is top tier. I had a drip coffee and a coffee cake muffin. Husband has a cranberry orange muffin. Very tasty.

i like sports and i don’t care who knows

Not many drink options and my latte was not good. Didn’t end up drinking more than a few sips:/ The shop feels empty even with the tables and such in there. The barista was nice but there was no note on the door that they were closing early the day I stopped in. I wouldn’t have spent money on a coffee if I knew they were closing early as I came to get work done on my laptop and was only able to for about 10 min. I checked Google maps for their hours before coming in specifically to make sure I had time to get some work done to be told by the barista after I ordered and set my laptop up that they were about to close. Again she was nice, but a note or notice before I ordered would’ve been much better. don’t plan on going back.

owner also seems defensive in other negative reviews by vouching for rude baristas when there is review-after-review of rude baristas… you think they would take some accountability or try to improve after numerous reports. i can understand after one or 2 but there is so many people with the same complaint and no accountability.

Disappointed that some things were off menu, but ended up with delicious muffins and coffee. Sat at an outside table to enjoy.

I've tried to support this place over the years but unfortunately it's just not good. The service is ridiculously slow, the gentleman at the register (the owner?) cannot get an order right and has an attitude while doing it. The coffee is OK if you're willing to wait forever but the pastries are all heated up via microwave which makes them soggy and disgusting. Would not recommend.
Edited to say the slow service is an every visit issue, and today in particular I was one of only three people in line so if that's what this place calls "slammed" I think that explains everything. And being "slammed" is never an excuse for a disgruntled attitude.

I just ordered a large white chocolate mocha coffee, and I have to say it is the best I have ever had! I will definitely be returning!

Just ordered a medium vanilla flavored cappuccino for $5.50. When I picked up the cup it felt empty. The trick to ripping off the customer is to froth the hell out of it so it fills the cup with foam. Great, let the foam settle down and the cup is practically empty. I won’t be back.

Definitely not customer friendly! Well-intentioned advice: do something where you don't have contact with people.

A clean, modern decor that is well-lit and well run. The pastries are great, the barista drinks perfect, and the music pleasant. A real gem in the neighborhood!

A classic coffee shop; my favorite latte in NOLa. You will always meet friendly people and dogs in here, as well as people reading actual books! The owner, Fred, is as nice a guy as you’ll ever meet. Good pastries and outdoor seating.
