Cuban, Jerk chicken and plantains are amazing! Rice could be better. Drinks are on point!!!

So, to start, the "nachos" were awful, which is a shame, because this is an easy dish to wow customers with. If canned pulled pork was a thing, I imagine it would taste just like their pork on the nachos . Bagged tortillas chips and freshly sliced jalapeños with the seeds in tact added a terrifying touch to the strange, water-thin "cheese" sauce that accompanied. We decided to abandon the mammoth portion of nachos in case the tacos were better...we were wrong...the shrimp was had TURNT, the brisket sauce (barbecue?) tasted like Kraft BBQ with loads of sugar mixed in. I hope it's not their signature recipe, but if so, set it on fire. The mango rice- and this is strangely impressive - had no flavor , none, it wasn't bad, it was literally ghost rice with absolutely not a taste to it. The service was amazing, and the server was so accommodating and kind. 5 star service. Sorry too queasy to get any pictures:

Mmm mmm yummy! The daiquiri wasn't watered down you could definitely taste the alcohol. The tacos were outstanding! You can choose 3 different flavors from their list of tacos. I had a vegan cauliflower one, a jerk chicken one, and a fish taco. Great atmosphere and vibes!

Loved the location and the seating outside! Even though it was a warm day, the fans kept you plenty cool. They serve fountain drinks in adorable mason jars which I loved. Our server was so friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The Calypso Beef tacos were our favorite, but all of the food had amazing flavor (as long as you don’t mind a bit of spice!). Also their adult beverages are delicious and refreshing!

My fiancé and I absolutely loved this place. Our server was super friendly and very helpful with suggestions in regards to food and drinks. We highly recommend the Funky Monkey blended drink if you have a sweet tooth and definitely the Caribbean style tacos. Try it!!! Can’t say enough great things!!!

Pleasant simple service. Tacos were absolutely delicious, perfect mix of spice and sweet. The authentic vibe of the restaurant was great. Not many tourists, but everyone was very welcoming. I recommend the chipotle shrimp and jerk chicken tacos. A few things to note: I did not see any beers on tap. It is definitely a cocktail type place (hence the name) On happy hour it is reasonably priced. Off it is very expensive. The tacos are pretty small (my guess is 200 calories each) and $5 a piece off happy hour. On happy hour, $3 each. Pitchers of cocktails are $40 and have a lot of ice.

I must say, Louisiana has the BEST food. I was here on a trip and decided to walk the area of Magazine Street and ran across this restaurant. I've been saying this about all the restaurants in New Orleans but omgggg everything was great!!!! Our waitress was also incredible. Get here now lol

I’ve eaten here a few times and the service is always great. The servers are friendly and professional. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. Fits right into the big easy lifestyle.

Stopped in for dinner after finding this place n Magazine Street during our recent visit. Our server was Bailey and he was top-notch! My wife and daughter had virgin Pina Coladas and I went with bottled beer. No Yuengling, so that was disappointing. The tacos aren't huge so if you're really hungry get three, or a combination plate that comes with three and some sides. Nice and air-conditioned, which was refreshing after a warm day of walking. Tables outside, too.

Fun spot for rum drinks and Caribbean inspired bites right on Magazine street. We went on our first night in New Orleans because we wanted somewhere that was both close to where we were staying and dog friendly. We enjoyed their sweet and fruity drinks along with the mahi-mahi fingers and Jamaican beef patty. I wouldn't recommend their jerk chicken dish though, as it was quite sweet and not spicy like I like it. But otherwise, great time!

The Rum House is one of the few restaurants that I've eaten at multiple times. The food is consistently good! The cocktails are good and strong too. On my last visit, I had the raspberry top shelf margarita...yummy! Let's talk about the Avocado Mango Dip. It's full of flavor and like the best thing ever! I always get the Mr. Biggs Plate for my entree. Some of the taco selections aren't great, but I've found what works for me and stick to it. My favorite tacos are the Brisket, Carolina BBQ and Crispy Fish. I hate that they no longer have the cornbread dressing as a side, but the Coconut Mango Rice is delicious! It seems the filling in the beef patties has changed over the years and that's disappointing. They were great but are just okay now. Regardless, The Rum House is a solid choice and I'm sure I'll be returning many more times.

I stop by here after touring the Garden District I love the atmosphere hanging out with the locals the bartender was awesome tried some of his local drinks they have plenty of rum the food was good and they’re play on bread pudding was simply divine.

This is an amazing Caribbean taco spot. They even have options for vegans and vegetarians. The drinks are crazy strong. I love sitting outside.
