Wow! What a neighborhood find! Been living in Uptown a few years and tried The Standard today for brunch. Absolute wonderful experience! We ordered the goat cheese enchiladas and crawfish Monica. Both were made with fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection. Service was wonderful, met the owner and the Chef, and had a great time. Great ambiance and relaxed setting. What an awesome way to start our day! Highly recommend!

I wandered into The Standard a couple weeks ago and was delighted by the friendly staff and delicious food. Chef was so kind to adjust a few ingredients for me!

Have walked past this place easily 50x. The inside is a pleasant surprise and the menu is expansive enough. The food was good but not great and a couple items were prepared a little different than requested (rare instead of medium well, sauce not on the side)

We had been meaning to try this place for a while. We were not disappointed. I had their salmon risotto special, and my mate had the fried chicken. We both also had drinks that were original and we'll made. Everything from the food, beverages, service, and locale were top notch at an affordable price. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

I’m sitting here after my meal, still at the table writing this. It is so good. The fried chicken is so delicious. The potatoes, fluffy and delightful. The biscuit, freshly baked. The Risky Sour and Uptown are both exceptional. Adding it to my list for a repeat visit.

OK, this review almost makes me laugh looking back on it because we are still bewildered and offended by our experience. A group of 6 girls were walking by at 3 PM on a Saturday when we saw a "cute bar" with AN OPEN DOOR and signage with arrows pointing inside for cocktails and bar. "Yay" we thought - wrong. When we walked in, there was only 1 server/employee in the building. She asked if we wanted drinks or food (food was used with a low tone showing she was obviously hoping

Stopped in for happy hour. The waitress/bartender seemed nice enough and seated us at the window. We ordered a couple of tacos and two drinks. The margarita was made with Limeaid, which we didn't realize at first. It was shudder-inducing. Worse though was the shrimp taco. We love seafood but the incredible fishy smell and taste was revolting, as if the shrimp had gone bad and they decided to serve it anyway. We eat tried a bite and nearly vomited. We mentioned to the server and she shrugged and charged us full price.

Horrible Service. Ran out of champagne for the 4 mimosas we ordered, so we received one. Fine, it happens. As we were looking over the drink menu to decide what we wanted instead, our waitress got very angry and took away the one mimosa and started marching away. Told her we would leave since she didn't seem to happy to be serving us and her response "Is that the best you can come up with" Disgusting!! Would not recommend at all.

I've lived here 2 years and I'd been wanting to try this place. Some friends and I walked in around 3pm on a Saturday to a fairly empty restaurant, were told we could sit anywhere, then after several minutes with the menus the waitress comes over to take drink orders - we each order a mimosa. Then we ask for another moment to look at the menus for food and the waitress snapped and said the kitchen was closing and she didn't feel like making drinks while we took our time with the menus. We were a very confused and I double checked the hours online and it said open until 10pm. She then came back over and yanked our menus away and said "sorry the kitchen is closed" in an extremely rude tone. Maybe this was true, but the way it was handled was extremely rude. The waitress could have mentioned this the moment we walked in. Unless someone drags me back I don't plan on giving this place another try - the staff came off very hostile and even followed us out eyeing us as we left as if we were the rude ones... Not my idea of southern hospitality.

Looking for a breakfast spot on Magazine St. there was no wait and now I know why. Horribly overpriced for average food at best and a waitress with a snarky attitude. I would not go back.

We were exploring Magazine Street and a couple outside the restaurant were sipping on 'mimosa to go' and recommended to try this place out and so we did. The food was amazing! And so were the mimosas!! Great decor and ambiance! Unfortunately, our server Ramona wasn't all to pleasant. She was irritated that we asked for separate bills. It's 2019, shouldn't be an issue...he demeanor towards was not kind. I had a mimosa to go and she gave me a small plastic cup but charged me the same price of the one I had with my meal (tall glass). I asked for a lid and a straw and that seemed to irritate her even more....wow

Astonishingly bad service. Burgers were advertised as medium rare and served fully cooked through. One member of the party requested a medium rare burger verbally...to no avail. Absolutely avoid at all costs. The waiter seemed mad at us the entire night and eager to get us out the door even though we were literally the only ones in there. Food mishaps happen, but a little kindness goes a long way. Thankfully if you chose literally any other food establishment in this city you should have a better experience.

This was an incredible meal. Honestly the very best meal that I have had in New Orleans. The owner and chef, Ali, was so great! We told her our affinities and asked her to prepare a meal as she would. WOW. WE WERE SO HAPPY TO HAVE ASKED HER TO DO THIS. We felt that the ouji board and the front of house service were a little off putting (feng Shui)l. Food is incredible. Atmosphere is lovely. Please don't miss out on this incredible GOURMET home cooking!!!!!!!!
