On our last night in New Orleans we decided to walk down to Tommy's Cuisine from our hotel. It was a Monday night, so not busy which means we didn't have to worry about waiting for a table. And, we got plenty of attention! The restaurant has an old-school Italian steakhouse feel and we settled in as soon as we entered. My only complaint for the night was that the complimentary bread service consisted of some pretty dry and crunchy bread - didn't have a lot of flavor. Luckily, things got WAY better when the food arrived. The meatball appetizer was delicious. The meatballs were flavorful and doused in a yummy red sauce with a dollop of ricotta. I ordered the chopped Italian salad as I had been eating a lot of fried and rich food and wanted something crisp. It was full of fresh veggies, olives, and onions and dressed with a light vinaigrette. The other dishes sampled were the Eggplant Napoleon - an amazing concoction of fried eggplant, topped with a crawfish and blue crab dressing and shrimp. It was doused in a heavenly lemon butter sauce. Super rich and super unique. Finally, my son had the grilled filet mignon with a side of crawfish. He said it was one of the best steaks he's ever had (and he's had some really pricey steaks). It was buttery smooth and full of flavor. For dessert, we split an expresso and a slice of melt-in-your-mouth tiramisu. Overall, this was one of the highlights of a trip FULL of amazing food.

***WARNING*** CHECK YOUR BANK ACCT AFTER DINING HERE!!!! A party of 6 of us ate here on Easter Day. We had two separate checks but decided that only one person would leave a tip on her card for the entire table. After leaving a 20% tip on one card, our server (named Boogie) decided that he wanted more. I just happened to check my bank statement that night and saw that he added a 20% tip to my card. How lousy?I called the restaurant immediately after noticing the theft. I spoke with a very kind manager who patiently assisted me and returned the funds to my account. She advised me that my receipt was the only receipt missing from that server that night. What a coincidence. Can’t leave behind traces of theft. Duh! The manager said the server would be reprimanded but he needs to be fired. I guarantee this wasn’t his first time stealing and won’t be his last. This experience has taught me a lesson. I will always check my account after dining out at any establishment. In addition, the food was super salty and mediocre, at best. What the server should have stole was the recipes from the kitchen and placed them directly in the trash. I will never return.~ If you’re looking for good Italian, try Irene’s or Vincent’s. Do not eat here, it’s not worth it. ~

My initial visit to Tommy's Cuisine revealed a shadow of the renowned New Orleans establishment it once was. The fish capri I ordered was overly salty, prompting me to return it, while my companions expressed dissatisfaction but chose not to send their meals back after a lengthy wait. Moreover, we encountered an issue with an unauthorized 20% tip added to my daughter's credit card, despite our shared payment which included an 18% gratuity. Thankfully, the manager addressed this by issuing a refund. Regrettably, we do not intend to dine at Tommy's again.

BE CAREFUL!! CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENT AFTER DINING HERE. The servers, one in particular named Boogie, stole my money. I went with a party or 6 and we had two separate checks. We decided that one person would leave the entire tip for the table on her card. I happened to check my bank account when I got home and saw that the server decided to add a 20% tip to my card. I did call the restaurant and a manager patiently assisted me and refunded the amount that was taken without my permission. She told me that she was able to see all of that server's receipts for that day, except for mine. My receipt was the only one missing. What a coincidence. The Manager advised that the server would be reprimanded but that is a fireable offense, in my opinion. Tommy's needs to reevaluate the people that they employ. I can guarantee this wasn't his first time stealing money and probably won't be his last. In addition, the food was mediocre. I will never return.

First time eating here and understand the emptiness of what likely was a once prominent New Orleans restaurant. Although I was the lone one who sent my significantly salty fish capri dish back to the kitchen, others at the table complained but didn't want to bother with sending their entrees back after waiting 50 minutes. Additionally, when my daughter checked her credit card, she was disappointed to see that the waiter took it upon himself to add a 20% ($17) tip to her card. She and I split the tab and I had already paid an 18% tip ($30) of the entire bill. Fortunately, the manager did refund that additional amount back to her credit card. We have no plans to return to Tommy's.

Leon was an amazing server tonight, I came earlier this week on Monday and Nadeen provided excellent service as well. Leon was attentive and showed extra care when taking our order and following up with us. The food was delicious, the cocktails were AMAZING. The music was great. 10/10!!!

Great cajun Italian spot. My group of 8 had a great meal but I had reserved ahead of time to make sure we had a seat. All wine bottles were half priced, which was a pleasant surprise. The group had the calamari, crab cakes, garlic rolls and a variety of entrées. I loved my spaghetti and meatballs and heard the lasagna and dish were fantastic. The vibe was nice and cozy.

Had a great date night here with the wife. Atmosphere was great and had a table with very little foot traffic. Service:( our server La La was on point all night. Wine selection was excellent. Low stars on food as it was just ok. Wasn't bad, but wasn't oh my god this is great. Felt typical American Italian food done ok. With that said, would absolutely go back for the service and atmosphere

Good food and ambience. Our server was gracious and friendly. They have eggplant parmigiana as one of their main menu items and one of the few vegetarian options. They said they were out of eggplant, which is strange to them have this as a main entree option. As a vegetarian I chose this restaurant over others for having this as a selection. The server came up with pasta primavera as an option, and it was tasty. Coming from a larger city (Houston), it's nothing to write home about especially for the price, but it was an overall enjoyable experience.

I wasn't surprised the food was delicious, because it's New Orleans! I had the spaghetti with a glass of well blended red wine. It was a great pairing. The waiter was great and helped me decide which would complement the bolognese best. My colleague and I went for dinner on a Wednesday night and the ambiance was calm and gave an old luxury feel. I highly suggest this restaurant.
