If you have eaten real bbq don't waste your money. Salty. Could if had better at chilies. Staff is nice, that's why 2 stars.

We stopped in from Texas and originally from California. The service was great the bartender even won a stuffy for my daughter and gave it to her. She named it "ketchup". I had the brisket panini and the rest of the family had the BBQ PORK Mac n cheese. Overall a great experience.

The people that work here were phenomenal! The food was so-so. The atmosphere was quiet for a bar.

I’m on a road trip with my cousin and New Orleans was on of our stops. We couldn’t wait to go to the Ugly Dog Saloon, the menu looked amazing. When we walked in there was a sign that said grab a menu on the bar and take a seat, which we did. The restaurant was not at all crowded. There was about 5 wait staff which included bartenders. Not one single person acknowledged us. Several people looked at us. After 10 to 15 minutes we got up and left. It was a very disappointing experience.

Average, not fabulous but not bad either. My husband and I were able to share an entree and fries for under $25.00 bucks. It was enough food to satisfy us both. The flavor was good, the barbecue flavor wasn't as strong as I would have liked, but all in all it was a fine meal. If your at the World War II museum it is worth going to instead of the restaurants at the museum.

After over 8 hours of playing Volleyball , we ran into Ugly Dog Saloon as soon as they announced the kitchen was closing ! Our girls were tired and hungry and the staff was absolutely AMAZING!!!! They accommodated us by taking our orders and providing OUTSTANDING service !!! I would highly recommend this place ! They appreciate their customers and were very professional and understanding!! 10/10 Hands Down

Great service after a long day! Talk about going above and beyond for a small group coming in right before closing. Great ambiance and the food was delicious.

In a mad rush lunch break from a convention down the street we all filed up to the closest restaurants. Ugly Dog was open, but only had staff for one person to take an order at a time. The line to order was 45 minutes, and it took a full hour and fifteen minutes from entering the building for the food to be served. The sides were small portions, but the food was generally decent. I know convention lunch rushes are inconsistent and unpredictable, so I am sure the staff was doing everything in their power to keep up. It just seemed to go a bit more smoothly at the other surrounding restaurants.

If it wasn't for the bartender being so hospitable I would have given Ugly Dog three stars. I ordered the panini which was tasty but cold. The ugly fries had flavor but the ugly sauce didn't make sense (sour scream, chili, and some sauce that I didn't know what it was/ bacon was missing) There is a lot of better combinations that could have made the flavors pop. The cheese biscuit was good, didn't see any butter or honey to add to it on the table or bar area.

A few of us bailed from going back to the hotel and decided to wait for dinner closer to the spot. I found a place just across the street and a few of us went to have beers. I needed something big to eat and had some fried potato wedges and two biscuits. The wedges were good and I got plenty of ketchup for them. The biscuits were good but I think I needed get more butter for the biscuits. I didn't have anything to drink but my friends said the drinks were good. Since it was friday, I didn't get a chance to have bbq but when I come back to the city, ill give some of their meats a try.
