I was really sorry to learn that the food court in this historic building had closed and Willie Mae’s restaurant with it. This little restaurant was a great spot to eat. The food was of course very good but the service was also outstanding. I hear that the owners are tough and very resilient and I read they plan to reopen the original location on Saint Ann Street. Perhaps they may reopen this location as well?

Definitely worthwhile to make the time and effort to go to the scotch house location instead. The quality at the market location is not remotely close to the original spot. The chicken at the market is not as crispy and the seasoning is off. The mac and cheese was disgusting. The cheese was coagulated. The sides are also limited here. On a good note, at least the food came out quick..

I was recommended this place well actually another location but that location was close. I kind of wish I waited the next day bc the food I ordered specifically the chicken was horrible!!! It was salty and the texture was mushy. I ended disposing the rest of it. I actually pass on going to popeyes to come to this place and I regretted it instantly. The wait was very long as well. I paid $50 for salty chicken! I hope they can do better seriously for that price. It's very unfortunate ?.
We waited so long for our food and it was just ok. Felt like the hype was overrated and expensive. Ended up going to Mothers. Wish I could say I’d be willing to try this place again but I’m not so sure. It’s something when you’re paying a lot for food and the service is sour AND slow. Stank attitudes should not be working front of the house even in food halls. I can say I’ve had it, not sure there’s more to say than that.

Chicken over cook
Made us wait over an hour, what a joke
Food was delicious it can sell out of popular sides so come early or make do with what’s left. The chicken has a kick to it so if you don’t like spicy maybe don’t get chicken
The services is horrible chicken over cooked and it took them 45 minutes to cook a fish order
excellent fried chicken

I got the wings and butter beans for lunch - so good!!! Didn’t have time to take pictures
Food was mediocre and waited almost an hour
Fried orka is frozen...not fresh..
The chicken was juicy and was beautifully seasoned. Fried to perfection. Sides were really good esp red beans and rice. Everyone should definitely try it.
Absolutely delicious.
Haven't had a bad side dish yet.
Not made until you order, so hopefully your not first in line.
