I’ve only been in town for 2 hours and went to a restaurant close to my hotel. I decided to go to Willie's Chicken Shack. I ordered Jambalaya and a biscuit, but after walking all the way back to the hotel, I realized I needed to ask for a fork when ordering takeout. I’m really disappointed!
Wonderful food. You could tell it was cooked fresh and not sitting under a warmer. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the staff clearly did not want to be there. Cashier had her head down on the register when we walked up.
Chicken was hot and good, but it took almost 20 minutes for our meal to come out. Everyone around us got their meal quickly so I don’t know what happened. All in all, it’s not very cheap ($43 for two drinks and a 4 piece meal) and the wait was just too long for what I expect to be a fast meal.
