Chicken is juicy and decent flavor. Sort of a bait and switch on the prices. $13.99 on the board and $14.55 on the recipe. Oh... and the bathrooms that have combo locks that don't work with the code on the receipt is a crappy touch.
We swung into Willie’s Chicken Shack before heading to a Jazz Club on Frenchman St. The place was not busy but had a few patrons in there. The tables that were open were all dirty and needed to be wiped down. The person that took our order gave the impression that we were annoying her and/or interrupting her day. She stayed at the counter and played on her phone the entire time. The person who was cooking the food was hustling so props to them. The food came out fairly quickly....
I'm not going to gas this eatery up like it's the best place to eat in the city. But as some other joints get crowded in the French quarter this is a reliable backup plan. The chicken is good and the biscuits are on point.
