Great little hole in the wall with fantastic food. The exact kind of place a foodie hopes to find in their travels. I think when they were going to open this place the cook was like, “look, I do two things and I do them well.” And boy, he wasn’t kidding. This was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It has an insane crust on it and is full of crazy flavor. The baked potato was pretty damn good too and the two guys who were working there when we went were incredibly nice. Definitely come here when you’re in New Orleans if you’re looking for a good burger. And don’t worry what the menu says, you can get a burger without the potato for $15.

Vegetarian options: The potato.

We were offered a burger and a spud. Both having a few options. The food was okay. The burger was a bit over done for me, and the potato under baked. Neither were something that would make me recommend the place or come back. My other half and I both agree that you probably should come drunk, or prepared to drink to enjoy the place. We were neither drunk, or planning to drink. The staff was friendly and the place itself cozy.

Amazing burgers! Come with the right expectations, there food menu includes burgers, giant baked potatoes and potato salad. While a small menu, they knock it out! Full bar, shot and a beer style, good music (touch tunes available) the burgers are really soo good! Raheem has been the chef for the past 3 years and is fantastic!

Best burger in a while. I was starving and found that spot. The service was really quick and enjoy every bit of it. Actually left the plate empty almost ready to be put back on the shelf

Outstanding smoked meats in a cozy dive run by lovely, salt-of-the-earth folks. The burger was incredible: crispy smoked on the outside, medium rare on the inside. Juicy, without being greasy or sloppy like inferior burgers. Think tiny bubbles, bursting with flavors. If the burger was explosive, the pulled pork was a slow but all-consuming fire: the smokiness sticks to your tongue, bite after bite, incapable of being dislodged by the delicate brioche. Service was quick, fun, and friendly - we came in the afternoon, no doubt it gets busier. But even if there's a wait, it'll be worth it. They smoke meats there cause they love it. And you can taste it.

Great burger ? one of the best !!!! It comes with sweet potato on the side with butter and ham .. so if you want to change anything say on advance. I ate the burger with hlafinyo tapping it was great! I don’t eat ham so I didn’t taste it … it came on the sweet potato so I left it alone… the oner was very dissen and didn’t charge me on my mistake so I was very impressed !!! All do I wanted to pay … my mistake .

BEST BURGERS EVER. I can honestly say I have never eaten a burger as good as ‘Ya Mama’s.’ Cooked beautifully and full of flavor. Mike, the bartender, was just as wonderful. Lively and super entertaining. Great guy. I will definitely be returning.

I've been here twice now. The burgers are large and are very good. While I typically enjoy fries with burgers, a baked potato is what you get and it is also very good. It's more a bar than a restaurant if the name throws you off. The burgers come with many options, I probably should try the peanut butter burger given the reviews about that.

Kid-friendliness: It is a bar setting, I don't recommend for kids

This little bar restaurant serves one thing...burgers and baked potatoes. They are absolutely delicious and the people are amazing! They only do one thing and they do it so right. You must try this place!!!

Super amazing experience!!! I'm so glad to see this location opened up again. We also tried Elmo's BBQ while we were here...MELT IN YOUR MOUTH RIBS!!! The meat just fell off the bone and the flavor was amazing! We will be back!

My husband and I were so excited to go back to New Orleans this year after COVID, and this was our first stop right after arriving from the airport. That's how good it used to be. I ordered a well done burger, and it came out charred on the outside and raw in the middle. The potato was underwhelming and seemed like it was cooked the day before and just now served. The only saving grace was our server/bartender who was amazing. It's very disheartening, and I hope they get back on track with quality and consistency.
