Poor lady tried very hard. Saturday before Christmas when 9 of us walked in she was overwhelmed. It took 2 hours for the food to come out. The salad was good but sandwiches need lots of work. Place needs to clean out the junk that is in there. Menus should be laminated so you can wipe off the previous customers germs. I'm not sure why the health department has not closed the place

Lovely little spot to stop for a laidback lunch. We had the Little Orphan Annie, the Marilyn Monroe and a slice of lemon pie and it was all tasty! The owner was so friendly :)

Eccentric place and owner. She talked and talked and talked. Really really slow. People left because the service was so slow.Food was good though. Soup, chili, sandwiches.

I'd always meant to stop at the little local place on the square, near the Bowie Oak. I'm so glad I finally did. It's tiny and charming, and has the most friendly and helpful owner, Ms. Wanda! Back in Time sort of combines an antique and collectible shop with a cafe! It's cozy and easy to like. It's a great place to stop at if you are passing through as it's right on US Highway 190 West right on the south side of the courthouse square. The menu is something to explore. It has a wide variety of soups, salads, and wraps all of which have interesting names. Some are named after local historic figures, others have names associated with famous persons or movie stars. All of them are tasty and vary from the light to the fully filling. The salad offerings also go from the small to the whole meal variety. This is one of those great little home town places that one just has to experience to understand. You'll find yourself stopping there next time you pass through.

The name of the place told me it might be a hidden gem, and my instinct was right! The food was incredible!!! I had the Jack Dempsey (roast beef and swiss) with a side of WWII (potato casserole)... it was like my grandmother had made it. This will be my new stop every time I am passing through the area!

The food was delicious. I had the Elvis Presley sandwich and my wife had the Frank Sinatra sandwich. The host is very charming and has some interesting stories to tell.

Stopped for lunch today while in Opelousas, and the food was delicious. The staff was very sweet and personable and they had several regulars visit while I was in there. Definitely will be visiting again when I'm in Downtown Opelousas.

This is an experience! The staff are exceptionally kind and the food is delicious. Highly recommend the Italian iced tea. That was definitely a Louisiana treat that should be everywhere.

Best salads in Opelousas and surrounding areas, with such friendly owners. If you like olives in your salad, The Untouchables is well, untouchable! If you like shrimp try the Tony Chachere on thier famous bread, you won't find that flavor anywhere else.

Go here if you have the eyes and taste buds of an 80 year old. The place is dusty and covered in cobwebs, not to mention the cockroach we saw running across the floor. The food was flavorless and despite them not being busy, they didn't know who ordered what. The bathroom was not just cluttered, the clutter was covered in a layer of dust, including the bleach bottles littering the floor. They obviously don't use them often.

I was in the area for other things, had lunch elsewhere and decided to stop in here for dessert. Got the chocolate pecan pie and it was wonderful. Service was friendly.
