Have been here many times and the food is good. First time I went INTO the store was the other day. Walked in and the young man behind the meat counter was friendly. I asked if they had any of their chicken spaghetti in the freezer. The young man turned to to the lady beside him and asked to which she said “I have no idea”…never looking up from what she was doing. I asked “is that something you typically have in the freezer or only on the days that it’s your plate lunch?” Again….never looked up…her response was a shrug and “I have no idea”. Not friendly AT ALL. Zero help. Zero desire to assist. Zero desire to show interest in someone wanting to spend money in their store. Won’t be back.

Very friendly and helpful. Gave us a sample and ohh my was it good. Worth the stop prices are good. Stopped for cracklin and walked out with more!

I was told about this place and how very good the Chicken Cracklins were. We were headed back from Baton Rouge on 190 and stopped in. It was Great! Those Chicken (things) Cracklins were really something to talk about! Just outstanding texture and flavor. And, I also bought some Andouille sausage it was also very good. The food is truly something I won't forget. There was a young lady running the register and an older man there, they were both very nice and friendly. I can't wait to travel that way again and stop by.

First visit. They were happy and willing to answer all my questions. Try the voodoo bullets. Spicy but great flavor.

Rudest people. It's surprising to see a menu online, but when you get there, they only have 2-3 items written on the board that are actually available. It's not worth the drive/ stop, avoid it at all costs!

Their chicken cracklin is so delicious, borderline addictive. I can eat a whole pound by myself if I wanted to.

Update as of 2/22/2025 - tried their onion rings for the first time today! One of the best I've ever had. Crispy, lightly seasoned and served with their in house made remoulade sauce. 10/10

We just happened to stop through on the way back to South Dakota, because a friend wanted some Louisiana boudin.
The shop was clean organized and everything looked fresh. Plus the kitchen looked very very clean. Steaks and meat looked very fresh and amazing. The lady at the counter recommended. We try the pepper jack boudin balls that they have ready . They were amazing 10 out of 10! all around amazing places. I can't wait to try the boudin when we get home.
Worth the stop and would highly recommend!

The variety of creole egg rolls and boudin balls was awesome! Unfortunately they were sold out of most but we lucked out and got a few egg rolls. We came for the club sandwich but they only had it available during the week, and we went on a Sunday on our drive home. They didn’t have hardly any chips stocked and not really any non alcoholic beverages unless it’s from the soda fountain behind the counter.
If we drove through again, we would definitely go back and try more food options as well as the egg rolls again! Would recommend, but definitely call to see what’s available first.
