I usually get a 3 piece or 5 piece & SMASH IT.. but today is did the fish plate with the dirty rice AND a 3 piece wing plate with dirty rice 2GEAUX! I mean REAL DIRTY RICE! MY MY MY, MYMYMY MY!! *Johnny Gill voice* 🔥🍽️🍾💯! Fast forward, my plate is empty! The other one is almost gone but I'll save it for tomorrow..
This place is not a hidden gem, so IYKYK! A legendary restaurant! Everything is THE TRUTH from the dirty rice to the homemade lemonade to the peppers to the fried chicken to EVERYTHING! I do not exaggerate. I do not lie.
If you're heading down south and you have to go through Opelousas, skip the fast food.. skip the snacks from the gas fill up.. COME TO MAMA'S FRIED CHICKEN!! THIS FOOD IS PREPARED WITH LOVE, THE SAME WAY, FOR YEARS! NEVER EVER MISS!!

Fish, shrimp, and chicken were good! I was highly disappointed with the rice dressing. It tasted as if it had sat under a hot box light all day. Not tasty at all. Onion rings and lemonade were the best thing on the menu.

Whatever you do, PLEASE DO NOT ORDER THE DRUMETTES!!! It is a total ripoff. They give more flats than drumettes, and the size of the flats are smaller than the size of a chicken nugget. RIDICULOUS!!! Hold onto your money! If I could rate them one star, I would!

Very very disappointed!! Went on Saturday, fried okra was burnt to a crisp. Place was closed so I could not return Saturday and I do not live near location. Was back in town on Monday so I returned on Monday with food and receipt. The owners son refused to refund or replace the okra! In fact, threatened to call the cops if I didn’t get out of drive through!!! REALLY over 2.99 okra! I called owner the next day and he could care less. Said it’s kind of odd that you didn’t call or come back Saturday. This is terrible customer service…do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! Money spends everywhere and these folks are only in it for your money not customer service. The food is greasy and unhealthy anyway. Save yourself a doctors visit from all this grease or at least go somewhere that values you as a customer!

Apparently lobby closes an hour before drive thru. Drive thru line was long and slow moving. Price was reasonable. Chicken was extra extra crispy and a large size. Onion rings were over cooked and nearly dehydrated. Fried okra was crispy. French fries were good.
