I've visited this spot every year for the last 7 years for the Christmas Eve bonfires. They serve food (chili, mac & cheese, chips, jambalaya) and have a live band with a cover for the night's festivities. It's always a comfortable temperature, depending on the weather outside and is a nice escape from the traffic and folks outside. Great spot to grab a cheap beer or mixed drink before heading out to the bonefires. Bathrooms aren't big, but they're clean! Definitely a dive bar...read full review
I stopped in here this afternoon while I was scouting out the area, trying to figure out the best way to see the Christmas Eve bonfires on the levee. It was formerly known as Do-do's, but the name is now Bulldog's Corner. Right on River Road, it is prime real estate for the bonfires. I had a $2 bottle of Bud, but they also have a full bar. There was a friendly bunch at the bar who dispensed lots of helpful advice. They have a large parking lot next door, and will be serving food...read full review
