Loved it! Jessica is a terrific tour guide - knowledgeable and fun to talk to. And the Pearl River is an absolute gem. A cypress and tupelo swamp like right out of the opening scene from the Muppet Movie - I never thought I’d get to experience this delicate ecosystem. Just a gorgeous day.
Our group was small, and our guide Jess was deeply knowledgeable about the ecology and issues of the area. Thrilling to paddle through the swamp to ancient cypress trees and see an osprey nest. The fish were jumping and the birds were overhead. Gorgeous day on the water.

Jessica was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to and answered all of our questions. It was clear how much she loved Honey Island and her passion for the ecosystem shown through. We wanted an ethical tour that was not feeding alligators marshmallows and whatnot. This cypress swamp was wonderful and beautiful and well worth the drive from New Orleans. Just a note, there is no bathroom onsite besides the facili”trees” so if that’s not for you perhaps stop at the gas station...read full review
