I just want to say that I haven’t had good REAL true Cajun Gumbo since I’ve moved up here to West Monroe from Nola! She put her whole foot in the pot I say! It’s a true roux dark and full of favor. I got the seafood gumbo and she was not shy with the seafood! I had shrimp and crab in every bite! The rice was even cooked perfectly! Not often have I been satisfied by someone else’s gumbo but… I have to say it… it better than my homemade! The portions are always overflowing...read full review

The food and service is the bomb. Nanny Shawn's boiled shrimp take the blue ribbon. And get the boiled eggs that she cooks with them. you will not be disappointed.
