La Bamba Mexican Restaurant Reviews
I have ordered the same thing before from this restaurant and it never looked like this---this is an ABSOLUTELY PITIFUL EXCUSE FOR A MEAL THAT I PAID 20.00 FOR. No sour cream sauce on my sour cream enchiladas and 2 tablespoons of rice. The queso was good but a ridiculously small amount for almost 10.00. I WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN--NOT TO MENTION THE GIRL AT THE REGISTER WAS RUDE AS HELL.
I went online to view the menu.
It has 1 price for the steak and then I was charged another price not listed. I asked for a manager. I was approached by a young lady could have been in her mid 20's. She was very rude and unprofessional. Asked for owner name. She just basically gave me a fake name. Anytime you need information on a business it should never be a hesitation to give that information.
I was there for lunch today and our waitress was friendly but our food was swimming in grease. I could not eat my taco because of so much oil dripping out of it. The rice was hard and beans tasted bad. BUT the salsa I think was the Worst it was straight red water...so watered down and had zero flavor. I was so disappointed because I have gone before and it was very good and so that's why I went back today but instead disappointed. 😕

La Bamba Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem in Ruston, offering a unique dining experience. Their Birria dishes, including Birria Ramen and Birria Tacos, bring a refreshing change to the menu. The restaurant serves fresh, light, and crispy chips and taco shells with excellent seasoning. Portion sizes are generous, making it a great value. The service is attentive and friendly, with staff always eager to ensure a good experience. Many customers praise the food, especially the fajitas, which are considered some of the best in Louisiana, and the Mexican hamburger, which is highly recommended. The manager Javier and the hostesses are known for their friendliness. While food quality is generally good, some find the food decent but not the best compared to other local Mexican restaurants. Prices are a bit higher, and wait times for takeout can be longer, but the workers remain very nice. Overall, La Bamba is a great option for those seeking a delicious and satisfying meal in a friendly atmosphere.
