This a great place to popin for a bite and i love the outside patio, food is amazing and you cant beat the bubley staff!

The Sundown Tavern is a Ruston staple that continuously gets better. Under new ownership since August 2024, it offers live music, friendly service, great sandwiches, and drinks. The turkey melt is a classic, and the beers are cold. The atmosphere outside is unbeatable, with a wonderful patio ambiance, chalk for children, and good music. The Sundown Tavern has wonderful drinks, music, food, and great bartenders. The burgers and jalapeño cheese balls are delicious. However, the service can be inconsistent, with some servers providing excellent care, while others may have poor menu knowledge and attitude. Despite this, The Sundown Tavern remains a popular spot, with a great vibe for adults and a fun atmosphere for families. It has been consistently rated 4 stars over the past 20 years, with some areas for improvement.
