This is definitely a hidden gem! You wouldn't expect it to be as good as it is by just looking at it from the outside (it appears to be a renovated gas station). The food and staff were top notch.
Parking: If the restaurant is full the parking lot would not have enough space to accommodate.

Café Petra has a large menu with huge portions. We had a great meal here on a Sunday when most places are closed for dinner. The Chicken shawarma was plentiful and tender. The mixed kabob plate was also a hit. There is a nice beverage selection and the food comes out fast and hot! Very friendly staff too!
The food is impeccable. However, they are misleading that they can deliver. I have called multiple times and have been told that delivery is unavailable. Just wanted to make awareness.

Got Icecream cake instead of the tiramisu that I ordered and I didn’t get the bread to go with my red fish dinner. Overall a bit pricey but the fish was good with the peppers.

What a wonderful surprise in St. Francisville!!!! I never expected to find a Mediterranean restaurant here. The service was excellent. The food & tea were amazing. We ordered an appetizer of Kibby & 2 different meals. I had the Chicken Shawarma plate & my husband got the lamb shank. The lamb was so very tender & well seasoned. Definitely will return when we are in town next month!!

I dropped in for lunch last week. The place has a nice atmosphere and the staff were all friendly. I had the chicken shawarma salad. The chicken was well seasoned without the overwhelming garlic you often get with this dish and the greens of the salad were fresh and crisp. It made a perfect summer lunch option. The portion was generous without being obscene and the price was reasonable. I will definitely be going back with my family and look forward to trying some of the other menu options.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant over Memorial Day weekend during an outing in St Francisville. We ordered the hummus appetizer, and I ate a chicken shawarma plate, while my husband ordered the chicken shawarma/gyro combo plate. It was all SO good, and we left so very full! Our waitress was so polite and attentive, too! The name on our ticket says "Vicki A", so thanks to Vicki and the chef/cooks at Cafe Petra for some great food and a good experience!
