“Legit tacos.............................I have traveled thru out Mexico even spent the night in a hospital due to my love of Karate Tacos or Street Tacos. Luckily an overnight stay in a Poza Rican hospital was only 200 bucks. For that I got a few bags of IV Cipro and some really good veterinary grade IV pain meds. Luckily I didn't get the "rare" blood disorder, which is why the US doesn't use it anymore on us two legged critters. But all in all safer than some injections (wink wink). Anyhow I highly recommend this place and will be back very soon.“
“I am surprised that this restaurant does not have reviews more than 1 review. We heard about it through a friend, who said the tacos were the best! We went to try tacos for dinner. The restaurant/bar was quiet and not busy. We were seated immediately and the server took our drink and food order quickly. It didn't take but 10 minutes to bring our food to the table. We ordered 10 variety of tacos. Chicken, steak, pork, and tripe. It was definitely one of the best tacos we had, and their complementary chips, salsa and side sauces were also great! Our server was also nice and polite. We will be back again.“
“We arrived early for a 6:00 reservation, and were seated immediately at a remote corner by the oven. First thought was concern about the server finding us promptly. Our water glasses were filled before getting a grasp of the menus. I normally don't drink water in Shreveport. If you live here, you know why. To my surprise, the water did not have the dirt like taste associated with tap water in Shreveport. Not missing a beat, our server arrived, introduced himself, and took our drink orders. He promptly returned with the cocktails and took our appetizer order, which was a dozen grilled oysters and fried calamari. The oysters were small and a little rocky, but don't miss the Calamari. It comes with two sauces, one was a superb remoulade and the other a thick tomato sauce, not unlike a savory tomato soup, just thicker. The calamari is the best I've eaten. I will order the calamari every time I eat here.We took a while deciding an entre. I finally told the server to pick mine, exclusive of the octopus. It may be excellent, but I can't get passed the thought of tentacles attaching to my uvula. My partner ordered scallops. My server looked at me and let me know that was his choice for me but would choose something else. He left the table, not informing us what my entre would be. I was thrilled! How exciting! I ended up an evening special. It was sea brim with a pistachio crust atop pureed potatoes. It was outstanding. The scallops were hands down, the best I've ever eaten.Normally, restaurants in Shreveport will disappoint me one way or another, be it service, food or drink quality, or environment. I have no complaints with Zuzul. If you are a local or just visiting, don't miss this one. I give my highest recommendation.“
