“Intuition had me looking for something “healthy” after back to back gourmet meals the past few days… and boy did I find something special at Earthly Elephant. The whole menu is designed by the owner and two resident nutritionists, and upon reading the ingredients of each dish it was obvious the sourcing, quality and intelligence of each meal is next level. Went for the chef’s special, ended up with a fantastic potato salad and the best bowl of gumbo I have ever had. No joke. I continued about my busy day so invigorated, I had to come back before close for another cup to bring to a dear friend who’s been feeling sick. So get this: she is maybe 7-8 bites in, already ranting and raving about the flavors, and then she got a real serious look for a second. She looks up at me and asks, “is there any marijuana in this?.. no, really, I can hardly process how good this is tasting!” She wasn’t even hungry, having just finished a hospital meal beforehand. Long story short — the name says earthly, but the love, flavor and intelligent healing that goes into this food… you’ll think it was heaven sent. Will be back tomorrow.“
