The food is great, I'm always trying to get a spot on the balcony. Being a transplant from New Orleans, it's nice to have a piece of home right in the middle of slidell on the bustling Gause Ave. My favorite is the soft shell poboy. I can't pass up a good sandwich. Not to mention, the menu is packed with flavor. Great bar, good prices, and gorgeous views.

I read a review that said the jambalaya was “inedible”, I was doubtful of that and went anyway… but, that review was quite correct. By far the worst “jambalaya” I’ve ever had… if you even want to call it jambalaya. It was more of a dirty rice, but not good at all. My dog enjoyed it. I also ordered the red beans & rice and they were at least edible, but not very good. There were no whole beans, no sausage, lacked flavorand had the consistency of refried beans. If looking for authentic Cajun food, I’d seek out other places. That said, the staff was friendly.

I dont like giving bad reviews, but i have to be honest. The food was not great, crab cakes were ok, and grilled fish was bland. Better off going to Copelands next door in all honesty.

Leidenheimer bread makes a fried gulf shrimp poboy, dressed, with fries, like coming home. Try it.

We had a great experience, once we were seated our food and drinks came fast and our server was nice. The only thing i would do is not order the crab cakes. Other than that I highly recommend this restaurant!

The place was ok it was slow service. I had the sample of New Orleans which is an awesome concept however the food was very salty. The bread pudding was too mushy. It was quite and dim in the restaurant creating a good ambiance.
