Dive Bars near Springfield

“Visited for the Super Bowl and stayed close by. We tried to hit more than a few watering holes local and this spot was the best place , best food and best service we experienced from Springfield to Bourbon Street! The burgers are next level and even the chicken fingers tasted better than any other. The bartenders were fast, friendly and more than willing to help some tourists out with do’s and donts . I wish we stayed longer so we could have done happy hour but we will be back!“

“Chiefs Pub on Pine is a good old fashioned hole in the wall. Not that kind you degenerate. This is a family friendly review.

This is the kind of place where you walk in for one drink and three hours later you’ve made four new friends, solved half the world’s problems, and somehow agreed to help somebody move next Saturday.

Chiefs isn’t trying to be fancy, and that’s exactly what makes it great. The drinks are cold, the people are friendly, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re hanging out at your buddy’s house. Except your buddy has a liquor license, a much better beer selection, and his wife is not there asking when you are leaving.

It’s the kind of bar where you can walk in knowing nobody and leave feeling like you’ve been coming there for years. If Cheers was in Ponchatoula, it would probably be Chiefs.
Five stars. Come as a customer. Leave as a regular. And remember... it’s a hole in the wall. Just not that kind.“
