“My client (local) said this was his favorite restaurant in all of Louisiana, and it delivered. Off the beaten path but not too far, with an authentic ambiance you can "feel" as much as see. Service was excellent (shoutout to Sam B.), knowledgeable, attentive, and welcoming. I had a spicy bread bowl appetizer, Roberto's crab entree, and the black tuxedo pie a la mode dessert. Left with a full stomach and a happy experience. More of a nice memory than just a meal. Go for it.”

“It was such a pleasure to go to Cheng’s. The food was hot, fresh,and delicious. The waitress kept our glasses filled and continued to check on us to make sure everything was good. She was very sweet. The owner came and talked to us after our meal and we just had to let him know how much we miss him and the food in Hammond. They are the nicest people. “While looking for a new brunch spot, I came across this place and thought we'd give it a try. The food was amazing and they have great prices. The service was great. The coffee was self-serve and complimentary so I helped myself while waiting for the food. I ordered the Western bowl with grits. The food was brought out to us pretty quickly and it was hot and fresh.There isn't much parking so we almost ordered to go, but glad we hung around and found a spot. We will definitely be back.”

The place was made to look high end but lacked some ambiance. The home made bread was fantastic but they only bring one and did not offer more unless you ask. “We love to eat at this Outback location because of the friendly staff! We had Renee, she was super attentive, made sure our drinks stayed full & even had complete patience with our three kids. That’s something we really appreciate because it can be stressful when we bring all of our kids to eat. We had a wonderful visit & our only complaint would be a server named Rodney. Renee was busy with another table so we asked him to check on something we hadn’t received yet & he literally rolled his eyes like we completely inconvenienced him even though he didn’t look busy at all. Even my oldest said “how rude” when he stomped off. Other than him, our experience was great! Hopefully he’s on a different shift the next time we decide to bring our kiddos with us!”

“I had my birthday party at Eloise’s and had the best time ever! My friends and I decorated little cakes and even hit a piñata! This was really fun even though I’m in the 40+ club. The owner was really nice and easy to work with while making arrangements for my party. She was also very good at instructing my group of friends how to decorate the cakes. We had so much fun laughing and judging everyone’s cakes. The cake was AMAZING!!! The cake was so moist and delicious and the frosting- scrumptious! I’m definitely going to be a repeat customer!”

“A friend referred me to Stone and Cloth last year, when I told her I was looking for a new stone for my breakfast table. My mother and I walked into their shop pre-lockdown and were warmly welcomed by Kelly Kirby. She gave me great suggestions for a replacement stone and a list of the Stone Distributors in town to search for my desired slab. Her suggestion for the marble was spot on and that’s the one we selected for our breakfast table. Since I placed my order during the lockdown, installation was delayed until phase 2 would allow for work to commence. During the waiting period, Kelly worked with me regarding having my existing breakfast table stone retrofitted for one of my bathroom counters. They removed the existing sink and under-mounted a new one to freshen up bathroom. At the same time, we realized the remaining piece of the slab for the breakfast table would fit perfectly in a second bathroom and a new sink under-mounted as well. We are very pleased with the excellent fabrication of all of the stone work and the installers had been polite, thorough and efficient. I highly recommend using Stone and Cloth for all of your building needs.”

“First-time here! Nice crowd for a Saturday with ideal weather. My main concern was the relatively small size of this space; the number of people made it almost impossible to safely distance from others. This place will need more space and outdoor seating in order to comply with health safety precautions and be successful. Every table should have chairs — there were two or three tables with no chairs. I’d be embarrassed to have such a situation, and I’m pleased another patron offered me a chair to enjoy my cappuccino treat.”
