I went to support the new owner, Natalie Benoit. I got the Cobb salad which was very good, cravable, so I will be back.
I came with my friend on her lunch break, we waited her entire lunch (a hour!) for sandwiches. SANDWICHES. We got no apology until the manager came out (when we finally got our food) and the girl working the front had attitude when we inquired about what was taking so long. Workers kept telling us "we're backed up, there's a big to go order" after we started complaining, yet everyone in the dining area was waiting on food. We were not the only ones that complained. The Willow Cafe is a great cafe in Thibodaux. The coffee is a favorite, with an iced americano and a delicious caramel macchiato. The Chicken Pesto sandwich is amazing, and the poptarts and red velvet cake are excellent. Desserts look to be made fresh daily, with many options like the apple cider bundle. They also have homemade white bread, books, games, and cafe music. However, service can be slow, and parking is difficult during busy hours with parallel parking near the major street. The barista was not personable, and the atmosphere could be more upbeat. The cafe is closed on Sundays. Despite this, the drinks deliver and are enjoyed to the last drop.
