For where it’s at and the way it looks you would think you would get better food. And better service, but you will not get that. The only thing I can say is they must make a killing serving cheap food and sauce that has no flavor for the money they are charging

Let's just say that Venice doesn't have much for dining options. That being g said, we ate all of our meals here. We enjoyed hamburger, shrimp burger, stuffed baked potato and red beans and rice. All were very good and plentiful. Beer was cold and atmosphere was awesome with the views of charter boats arriving. I would recommend d Crawgators highly.

Best marina restaurant in town! The view is beautiful as it overlooks the marina and you can see boats come and go along with various birds. The server was a little slow helping us get what we wanted to eat, but she was alone. We set outside and noticed they also had an inside seating area, but it was nice outside so we were fine. I had a cold Miller with fried oysters, fried soft shell crab and onion rings. The soft shell had a few hard spots, no fault of Crawgators. I do look forward to a meal and a view every trip to Venice. We have eaten there three times in three years and it’s always a treat, just not five star. Would definitely recommend a meal at Crawgators if you are lucky enough to go fishing or duck hunting out of Venice Marina in Venice Louisiana! 85% Florida Man Approved!

The place is interesting and seems quite authentic to me, it has a totally local atmosphere and you can feel the identity of the place, focused entirely on fishing. You can find traditional Cajun dishes, the food is well prepared and has good flavor. We visited it twice. The first time was on a Sunday and it was completely full, even so the waitresses did their best to serve us in the best way. Now comes the not so good. They use disposable tableware, everything is served on disposable plates and glasses. Not only is an immense amount of garbage produced. You also feel like you are at a fair or something, and the prices are not at all those of a fair or fast food place. The average average for the dishes is $30 and we paid $20 dollars for each shot of rum (Captain Morgan), just the rum, without ice or Coca-Cola. Apparently the girls at the bar are not very happy with helping you please, since one of the people in the group asked for some small changes to her drink and the bar did not want to make the drink a little different, the waitress did it herself. on your own, but it took several tries to achieve it. I think with a couple of tweaks the place would be amazing.

It would allow me to give 0 stars or I would have. We wished we could have tried the food but 40 minutes to get a drink after asking multiple times and being walked right past several times started it all off. 1-1/2hrs and wondering where our food is and the waitress couldn’t care. She was absolutely terrible and rude. If she had only communicated with us that they were busy and backed up it would have been different. Maybe if she hadn’t just kept walking past us and ignoring us it would have been different. Too many opportunities to make it a better experience. The busboy was exceptional and tried his best to get us taken care of and he got a tip. 0 stars for service.
