Crawgators Bar & Grill in Venice, Louisiana is hands down one of the best spots I’ve been to. The food was very good, but the people made it even better. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, it felt like eating with family. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to whenever I’m in town.

Servers seemed annoyed they had customers. When we walked in, 1 server was sitting at a table with her back to us, she didnt even turn around. Just said hello and kept scrolling through her phone. Another server came from the back and seated us after about a minute. We were the only customers. Food was meh. Ordered the gumbo which was burnt, tasted terrible. Not worth the drive and definitely not worth the money.

Great place to eat in Venice. Right at the dock where the charter boats bring back their catch of the day. You can have a great meal while watching groups come back, unload and process the fish they caught.

One of my favorite restaurants on the planet is in the not-that-easy-to-get-to town of Venice, Louisiana, located at more or less the end of the road in the Mississippi River delta. It’s about an hour and a half from New Orleans, and worth the trip, especially if you’ve never seen that part of the world. Just search for it on Google maps and you’ll see what I mean.
This trip we had the blackened shrimp po’boy; seafood gumbo chock-full of shrimp, oysters, crab, and redfish; and the alligator bites appetizer. Everything was delicious. The best part was watching all of the sport fishers coming in with their catch. Several had a huge catch of tuna. This shows a monster swordfish, and a big haul of redfish, etc. I can’t overstate how much we enjoyed going out there for the day! Servers were lovely, welcoming and helpful. They have a great marina shop, too. 😁

Good atmosphere. Not too much food to choose from
For where it’s at and the way it looks you would think you would get better food. And better service, but you will not get that. The only thing I can say is they must make a killing serving cheap food and sauce that has no flavor for the money they are charging

Waste of time and gas.

Let's just say that Venice doesn't have much for dining options. That being g said, we ate all of our meals here. We enjoyed hamburger, shrimp burger, stuffed baked potato and red beans and rice. All were very good and plentiful. Beer was cold and atmosphere was awesome with the views of charter boats arriving. I would recommend d Crawgators highly.

Excellent. Delicious food and service. Came on a Tuesday night on the week before Christmas. Place was empty but the service was fast. Food was hot and delicious. Got the chicken wings, cheeseburger, and fries.
