Sam's Southern Eatery in Vivian is a long-standing favorite for its consistent and delicious food that has remained top-notch over the years. The seafood dishes are a standout, with fried oysters being a must-try. Despite some issues with closing times, the quality of the meals makes it worth the visit. The 2-2-2 special is a hit, offering catfish, jumbo shrimp, and chicken with sides like dirty rice and red beans & rice at a great price. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
