Found this cozy and quaint bbq joint in the sleepy part of Lake Charles after a day of casino hopping. Super moist bourbon smoked chicken and ribs. NOT overly smoked or bitter, but well balanced. For sides, traditional potato salad vs. loaded baked potato salad - get both. Ask for the dessert of the day, it will leave you nostalgic. Great bbq! The sliced brisket was amazing! Can’t wait to try the pulled pork nachos! The pork steak was also amazing.

Jeanne's Bourbon Street BBQ is a terrific BBQ spot near the interstate. Travelers find the pulled pork, jalapeño wrap, and brisket great. The smoked sausage is on another level and everything else is delicious. Ribs and chicken are juicy and tender. A brisket and ribs combo plate with baked beans and green beans has a wonderful smokey taste. The special sour cream based potato salad is a must. Bread pudding and peach cobbler are sweet and tasty. The CaneBreak local beer was very good. The staff are friendly and service is always great. The walls are decorated with Winchester memorabilia. The place is well laid out, and there is a bar for orders to go. Freshly made desserts are a highlight. It is a nice place to enjoy some of the best BBQ in the area.
