I received a cup of “gumbo” that literally had 1 shaving of a shrimp tail, that was it! So a lot of money for a cup of gravy and an ice cream scoop of hard rice. The onion rings were so hot my husband couldn’t eat them both were thrown away. Loved the New Roads location but will not go back to this one.

I normally love the Zachary location but I will not be returning ever. I ordered a pepper-jelly blackened chicken salad Friday evening, in the pouring rain(I wanted that salad really bad). The chicken was burnt not blackened. I called the store and the manager said, I could bring it back and he would make me another one. I wasn’t going back out in all that rain, so I took it back Saturday morning. Although, the chicken was blackened, it had no taste at all! The lettuce was old and stale and it was only a spoonful of tomatoes on it, not work the $18 at all.

The food is wonderful and the staff is very nice! The way I'm treated is very important to me and each time I have been there I have received good customer service from friendly and patient people. I haven't had brunch yet but it looks so good and they have mimosas!!! I can't wait ?
I had lunch there yesterday Monday! I thought because the seafood is usually good that the lunch of Chicken Alfreda would be good! However it was terribke! The Alfredo was tasteless! It was horrible! The salad was on the same plate which ran into the Alfreda & it didn’t look good at all! The whole presentation was awful! The price was ridiculous $14,95 for that kind of lunch is ridiculous! Working people & old retired people can’t afford a $15 lunch! Awful!!!

Was in town and someone told me this was a local favorite.
The parking in the front is limited but there is parking at the back of the building.
I ordered the red beans and pork chop. The beans were good. The pork chop was a little to peppery for my pallet. The shrimp was almost to salty but still edible.
The portion size was very generous. The sodas were perfect.
I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because the volume for the TV was not on, which made us able to hear everyone's conversation at the booths and nearby tables.

I’ve gotten the catfish Poboy a few times and it’s always really good, but I’ve gotten ignored waiting at the register to order a few times as the waitresses walk past me and avoid eye contact. Not a very welcoming environment but the catfish poboys are good and always fresh/hot.

The red beans are excellent! If you like red beans, you can't go wrong. I also ordered the grilled chicken and vegetables. The vegetables, though ample, were overcooked and greasy. The chicken was a bit raggedy, but it wasn't overcooked. Overall, it was a sloppy presentation, but fortunately it was edible.
As a customer it was my first time there the young lady who took my order was very nice and she made sure my order didn't take long.This restaurant is small comfortable and cozy.The price I can only judge from my pocketbook but the amount of food you receive make everything all right The food was Excellent. The sauce oh my gosh very very delicious.

The food was really good. I'm curious why can't you get a grilled fish po boy? The waitress explained that grilled fish isn't an option. It makes me think that the fish fillets are already purchased from the supplier ready to fry!

It’s a great casual dine in option, but the Zachary location does have a drive thru to facilitate speedy takeout.
