5 Best Bar & Grill near Chatham

“I wanted to give a shout out to our waitress, Nadeen, at Sacred Cod Tavern. The place was slammed. Regardless, our server, Nadeen, went over and above what was expected. Even though the tavern was extremely crowded and Nadeen was obviously quite busy, she timed drinks, meal, check and take out perfectly. We asked that we get a take out order to arrive about 5 minutes before we were done with our meals. I don’t know how she did it, but her timing was perfect. It was like she knew when we were done with drinks, and appeared asking if we wanted a refill and then after meal was served, she appeared again making sure that everything was ok. After our meal she perfectly timed our take out order as we requested. The finishing touch, going over and above, was making sure ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and salt was included in the bag, along with silverware. She was meticulous with everything. She was polite, professional and knowledgeable. We asked questions about different dishes and she knew her stuff. She never acted rushed though clearly she was juggling many tables. Nadeen is the consummate server and Chatham Bars Inn and Sacred Cod Tavern is very lucky to have her. I hope she’s always my waitress. Thank you !“

“We dined for lunch today. We had clam chowder quohaugs and salad. Everything was wonderful. The clam chowder so thick and full of clams. The quohaugs were amazing. The staff friendly efficient and so pleasant. We come every year and love our experience. Thank you again for a great lunch“

Lively atmosphere. We sat by the bar to enjoy the view and environment. Staff was attentive and would love to come back and stay longer.“

“We had the rueben and some chicken wings. Both yummy. Great fries and not too many. Hot and crunchy. It was a rainy night and the AC was blowing on us. I'm guessing it's a good atmosphere for a warm summer day but for us cold, not helped by a table of heavily drinking golfers who were loud, and super crude. The hard surfaces amplified their noise. We should have sat with everyone else at the other end of the restaurant with everyone else. It was too late by the time we figured it out. Staff was awesome. Tara and Mike.“

“We had a party of six and I am always a little concerned when I see tons of available reservations on open table for a particular restaurant. But in this case, I think it's just a matter of people maybe not wanting to go to a golf club restaurant that may be considered a little harder to get to. We sat outside on a beautiful summer evening and had wonderful drinks, appetizers, and our main meals were exceptional. Really no complaints whatsoever.“
