Had great dinner at tofu story. Soon Tofu jeegae with stone bop was great, but should also try their other special menus, like bbq ribs and crabs.
Tofu Story is one of my favorite Korean restaurants in Boston. It never disappoints, and it's always a solid meal. This restaurant offers many options that are great for people who might be trying Korean food for the first time. My go-to is the hotstone bibimbap and my friends always get a spicy stew! It is a great place to catch up with friends for hours over drinks and a delicious hot meal :)
WOW what a spectacular experience I had at tofu story - from the service, to the food, to the environment, this was one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had. Tofu Story is a Korean restaurant in Boston that offers many options great for people trying Korean food for the first time. The hotstone bibimbap and spicy stew are go-to choices, and it is a great place to catch up with friends for hours over drinks and a delicious hot meal. One visit included kimchi pancake, galbi, and the king prime ribs, which were phenomenal, with massive compliments to the chef. The environment inside is chic, with good privacy but also a warm space. The kimchi pajeon wasn't too oily and had plenty of veggies, and the soondubu was the same size as other Korean restaurants in the area. The kimchi soontofu with sotbop was phenomenal, made fresh and served with delicious pickled vegetables, and the chef is accommodating and kind, walking through the whole menu and its vegetarian options. The banchan selection was limited and served in very small portions, and the stone pots for the beef, seafood, and mixed tofu soups were smaller than usual with very little beef or seafood. The soups arrived extremely hot and bubbling, so be careful. The seafood pancake was okay, but there wasn't much seafood. Service experiences varied: some servers were truly attentive and gave amazing recommendations, while other waiters weren't very attentive and didn't check on customers, so they had to be waved down. One weeknight was rather empty but had amazing food, nice, consistent service, and offered a tasting of house made tofu and some other offerings.
