Terrible! Made a reservation two days
Ahead and confirmed via text only to arrive to a note on the door saying they
Were closed for a private event. Plenty of seats and a completely empty patio but they would not seat us. The manager wouldn’t even come out to speak to us after we waited 15 minutes saying she was “in a meeting.” Never again.
food was not good.out of the four of us one meal was good. Never again
We decided to try and support a new local restaurant. Portions ok, but the Clam Chowder (Potato soup) was lacking in clams. Fiancée ordered Steak tips. 3 steak tips for $28?? I ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta, again 10 little slivers of Chicken. Waite staff was not very attentive, we had to go to the bar to order a second round of beverages. I won’t be coming back.

Amherst Public House offers a great dining experience with delicious food. Diners praise the large, meaty oysters and the generous portions of nachos. The pizza is fantastic. The omelet, French toast, and steak and eggs are very good. Service can be good, though sometimes mediocre or a little inexperienced. The atmosphere can be a bit loud, but the overall experience encourages repeat visits for its convenience.
