I was blown away by this gem tucked away in an unassuming, no-nonsense storefront on Mass Ave in Arlington. The broth was spectacular, the ingredients fresh and plentiful, and the staff welcoming and accommodating. You'll have to ask for sauces if they're not explicitly on the menu (I'm partial to hoisin sauce), but they will happily comply with your wishes. I feel SO LUCKY this place is right down the street from me!

My family and I have been assiduous clients here! Food is wonderfully tasty, not only their various Hot Pot, their specialty and a magnificent dish for Winter; but also their peppered beef (Umm) green beans, the EGGPLANTS ( oh my goodness).
This family business, and family oriented restaurant is very special for Arlingtonians! We love them

He is very unfriendly to Chinese people who speak Mandarin and deliberately makes things difficult for them. The card machine in the store didn't accept Apple Pay, so I asked him if he could transfer money and refused directly. He said that he didn't have any social software and couldn't transfer or receive money. He forced me to take a taxi back to the hotel to get the card. And the most outrageous thing is that I am Chinese so he has already added the tip, which means I have no choice but to give her that much.

Super expensive for the amount that you get. I guess we are paying for the convenience.
We've eaten here for 2 years now and it's consistently our favorite for broths. They really just have the best broths. Love their selection of vegetables, tofu and mushrooms. Their cooked food is really good too!

Perfect for families. Easy, friendly, delicious. Get a side of steamed pork dumplings for the hot pot.
I really wanted to like this place but we were shocked my how expensive it was for the portions/quality. It cost almost $70 for two soups with just a few veggies and meat. The meat also appeared frozen when it came out which was a weird experience. And they charge for things like sauce and garlic which was bizarre. Unfortunately we won't be going back :(

The waitress I had on 10/14 stole money from me! I opted not to tip due to generally horrible service (took forever to get her over to order, left our table before we were done ordering, little to no follow-up - please note that I literally never omit tips, the service was just that bad). I just checked my credit card statement against my customer copy and the waitress helped herself to an additional $14 of my money, despite me entirely crossing out the tip line. Be aware that this place hires someone who engages in fraud/theft! Oh, also, the food is not that good or in large enough portions to be paying those hiked up prices.

Their soup tastes very good, but their food are toooo expensive, and the amount of food per serve is soooo small. I brought my parents there, and all of us did not walk away with a full stomach, and it already costed us in total of $170. I will never visit again. I don’t think they wanted their customers to come back anyway.

Ordered takeout ma po tofu. It was 90% liquid and mushrooms. There is hardly any flavor and does not taste good. If you want good ma po tofu go to district kitchen in malden.

I have eaten here for about 10 years (or since they opened long ago). The soup is the best among all hotpot restaurants. But they recently ‘upgraded’ the menu. The price has gone way up for combos and the portion has shrunk to a ridiculously small size. I ordered a boneless short rib combo, there were only 13 thin little 1x2 inch rectangles. They used to give you sesame sauce as part of the combo. Now they only give you soy sauce. Sesame sauce, scallion, garlic etc are extra at $1.5-$2 each. The ‘upgrade’ must be why it was not busy at all. Before the upgrade, it could be an hour wait on Sat nights. The soup base is still good. But it has gotten so expensive that I’m not going again.

A nice Chinese restaurant, there is a pot with chicken, beef, or vegetarian stew in the center of the table, which is constantly heated. You choose and order the ingredients, and diners cook them on the spot. It's a non-traditional experience, and the food is tasty. Recommended for those who want to try a non-traditional western restaurant.
