Great local pub with a good mix of seafood and pub classics and plenty of beer on tap. Serving some of the best chowder I’ve had on the Cape. Quiet at lunch but gives the impression that it’s the place to be. Definitely a worthy stop and a good find

Was in search of a snack on some draft brews and this place fit the bill. Nice election if beers on tap, parked at the bar so they had a couple of games playing in the TVs. Ordered the calamari and it was tasty, the marinara sauce was bomb! But I ran out of marinara sauce and could have used some more.

Beer wise I ordered the shipyard pumpkin and they asked if I wanted it with the spice rim and I figured tis the season and it definitely felt like drinking fall in a cup. Would come back if I’m ever in the area again

We were staying close to this restaurant so we stopped in for a late lunch. We sat at the bar and really liked the atmosphere. Bartender and patrons were friendly. $5 drafts although there were daily specials for $4. Hubby had the ribs which he really liked. They also had seafood, pizza with home made fennel sausage, wraps, etc. We liked it so much, we ate there again for dinner the next night. Seems to be a popular place.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Service was wonderful, food was great and they had endless patience for our football team!! Thank you for a wonderful time!

We sat near the fish tank which was kind of fun. Fish sandwich was very good. Our server said it came with chips, which I expected to be made in house or at least cape cod chips, but it was a bag of Lays. Next time I’d upgrade to salad or fries. Our server did not seem thrilled to be there.

Ate there on a Saturday night. Fairly crowded but seated pretty quickly with no reservation. Service wasn’t great. Server herself was pretty good but we waited a long time before she came to our table because no one told her she had our table. Had a pretty good bar-style pizza. Others had fish & chips and short ribs. Serving size was large. Quality was mid. Good place to have a few drinks and watch a game. Huge projection TV and other screens all around. Plenty of of parking across the street in public lot

The pizza is BOMB but unfortunately not much else… if you enjoy burnt ends and well done pizza this is the place to go and I cannot praise it enough. The lobster roll was repulsive at best. Dessert was very mediocre. Might benefit from a smaller, more focused menu.

I would love to give this establishment more than 3 stars because the rest of the staff were kind, but our waitress was anything but. Very smug, had an attitude like no other, I believe her name was Sierra. I work in the service industry myself, and never in a million years would I speak to my guests like that. I understand having a bad day and being overwhelmed, but again, the way our questions were answered and her overall demeanor were uncalled for. My mother and I are here on a family trip, so naturally, we aren't very familiar with portion sizes and such, because each restaurant is different. We didn't think that asking a simple question or two would warrant such an unprofessional and rude response, but I digress. The food was pretty good, no complaints there! Overall, a pretty good vibe for a sports bar kind of themed restaurant. Would eat here again!

Great place to eat.... a variety of items (salads, soups, fish, steak). Food was delicious. This is a family operated business and it shows!!

Parking was horrible, small one way lot, with zero signs for additional parking-
Bloody Mary was tasty but nachos were mediocre 😕
Atmosphere was fun- great place to watch the game!

I love the Portside Tavern! My go-to order is a cup of the clam chowder and the fennel sausage pizza. A sleeper hit is the poutine, it goes toe to toe with Canadian poutine I've had.

If you're a visitor and it's peak season, keep in mind that there will probably be a long wait for a table during high season and on week nights.

Food is very good. Wife ordered fried cod sandwich and I ordered turkey wrap. She said this cod sandwich was probably the best she has had in a very long time! I tried it and would agree with her. My turkey bacon wrap had a generous amount of turkey. Bacon was perfection. We had read some of the reviews and they were spot on. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants good food. Carlos our server was very attentive.

Lunch was great, pizza was tasty, cooked well, short ribs were excellent, really tender and flavorful. Baked Cod was great, arugula salad was very fresh. The server was very friendly. Only hiccup, daughter is GF, due to an intolerance vice an allergy. Good thing, because after two bites of her pasta, we called our waitress over to verify the pasta was GF. It was not. Happily, she didn't have enough to cause her discomfort. Now this could have been very bad. Oddly enough, nothing was brought up about comping her for the error. It happens very infrequently, but when it does, the establishment manager usually stops by. In this case, nope.
