This was a terrific place to eat, watch football, and enjoy a couple of libations. This was a busy place on a Saturday night but, we got our party of 4 in within 10-15 minutes as they promised. Staff was attentive and owner very hands on. It is a very well run machine and it shows. We wanted for nothing. Had everything in a timely manner. Pretzel wIas great & clam chowder delicious! I think anything you order here would be very good. I look forward to my visit back here @ The Cape. Enjoy!

Was our last place to eat while in cape cod. Glad that they were open late and serving food late. Got here at 10pm and they were serving food. Plenty of seating. Was tired of eating seafood for a week so i went with the steak and cheese sandwich. Wife had the bolegnese and we also got buffalo mac and cheese. Everything was delicious and service was great. Great way to finish our trip.

We had a very nice meal here - the scallops and risotto were good! Very nice waitstaff. We got our drinks and then salads right away, but the entrees took a little while longer. Ultimately it was worth the wait.
We are also staying in one of the rooms associated with the tavern which so far has been great.

Edit: My husband called and asked to speak to the manager. He explained that our chicken was not seasoned, never mind blackened, and the avacodo was hard as a rock. The manager was rude, and kept saying "they were busy". Rather than apologizing for the off night, which would have been all we'd have wanted or needed to hear, this person told my husband to "come back here right now and get your money, then you can never come back here again". No need to worry about that! We certainly will not be returning. They can keep the 80 bucks, put it towards some customer service training, perhaps.
Disappointing experience tonight when getting take out. I had a delicious lunch here a few weeks ago. The blackened chicken rice bowl. First time, it was perfection. The seasoning on the chicken was so amazing that I saved 2 peices to being home for my son and husband to try. They loved it too. We got takeout tonight and my son and I both got the blackened chicken rice bowl. The chicken is not even REMOTELY seasoned at all. Literally chicken that's cooked. Such a massive disappointment. The rice bowl comes with avacodo in it, the avacodo was so hard my fork will not pierce it. Pointless to complain to restaurant, as I live in Dennis and there is no way im going BACK to Hyannis. It isn't a travel to home and food got cold, or old, or whatever issue. The 2 rice bowls were a completely waste of money. My husband got a burger and it was good. Asked if he'd order it again and he said " I'd not go searching for it, that's for sure". I imagine that it must be a different person that cooked the first meal I had here. That meal was so amazing that I couldn't wait to get it again. Now I don't know if we will ever go back. Not knowing will it be the good chicken or the not seasoned just cooked thru chicken.... Consistency is key. Ugh

The restaurant was not full, we were waiting more than 30 minutes to get our meals. The appetizers came 10 minutes after the main meal (40 min after ordering).
We asked to take it back, and were told it will be not included in our bill, however they charged us 50% of the appetizers cost.
Tavern owners, IT IS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY, it is about how you value your clients.
Overall I would not recommend this place for food and mixed drinks. For dinner we ordered the mez spread, a burger, and crab cakes. The mez spread was really disappointing and almost resembled something that was bought at a store. The burger was fine and crab cakes lackluster. My wife ordered 2 mixed drinks that were overally sweet. Please cut back on syrups.

Staff is rude and non direct in closing hours in person. Don't go late night unless expecting confusion and annoyance... I called ahead of time for kitchen hours and was ahead of schedule.
